what she fears

43 8 6

She fears that if she closes her eyes, her smile will be gone and her laugh a memory

She fears that if she doesn't cling tightly to those she loves, they will go

And if she shows people who she really is

She'll be rejected

again.

She fears the unknown, judgement and hate

She fears demons she can't win against and the bloody battlefields that follow those fights

She fears that her heart will stop one day, from working too fast

And her eyes will stop seeing and darkness will coat her world

She fears she will never be enough, or even beautiful.

She fears hurt she brings to others. It slowly kills her when she makes mistakes.

Some of her fears are irrational.

Some of them are rational,

and they can all freeze her in her place.
