Teach me how to love myself
Hold my hand and lead me through it
I slip and fall, landing hard
A toddler learning how to walk
Once again
lead me through the steps
Explain to me the directions
Teach me how to grow,
teach me how to never give up
teach me that I can achieve anything
Bad habits are hard to break
Place your finger on my lips
Silencing my self hate
As hateful words come from my mouth,
abusing the image I see in the mirror
And hold me as I crumble and break
For my tears,
Breaking free from their cage
You call me strong
I call myself weak
Once again my hate is silenced
Teach me how to love myself
Hold my hand and work with me
through this problem
Till we get a solution
Add the numbers together
Till we get through it
This is solvable,
I'm finally learning again
