Will's POV
After going through all the rules of manhunt, which was literally twice because of Kyle, the game was about to start, and everyone swam away from the mini island. Troy had told us to start breaking free from the ropes when everyone reached the shore of the mainland, which luckily didn't take very long. As I saw the last of the hiders run out of the water, I turned to Dan, confirming it with a nod. He, Kyle, and Woody nodded back in silence, and the four of us began to twist and squirm until the ropes came off.
"Jesus Christ!!! Who tied these knots?! They're so tight!!!" Woody complained. He was right though, the thick rope tied around each of us were well knotted, purposely to ensure that we would take loads of time to break free.
"I think whoever tied mine didn't do it very well," Dan raised his eyebrows. "Hold on, almost got it," he bit his bottom lip, madly twist around until we saw his ropes loosen. One couldn't even describe how victorious we felt, it was just a simple thing, but seeing that we were four retards in a band, it was a win for everyone.
"Should Dan go first while we keep trying?" Kyle asked as Dan broke free of his ropes. That was a good question; it would be a good idea, but then again...it was Dan we were talking about, the man wasn't the fastest at running. Then I had an idea.
"Dan. You go first, but untie one of us, the one who's best at swimming without coming up for air." All eyes fell on Kyle; he was the best at doing it.
"Me?"
"Yes, you. As soon as Dan reaches the mainland, get into the water and try to make it to the shore without being seen by everyone."
"Okay, got it," he nodded with determination.
I turned to face Dan, wanting to give one more instruction before letting him carry out the plan. "Untie me and Woody, we'll pretend that we haven't escaped yet. I have another plan for the two of us, so when you start chasing Troy, chase him into the open where I can see you guys."
"Okay." The awkward runner nodded. The rest of Bastille knew when to listen to me, or when to complete rebel against my idea, but in situations like this, the three of them knew when to straighten up and pay attention. We all wanted payback against Troy, he was the one who called this fun, which was, but not if it involved Bastille getting tied up.
Kyle, Woody, and I watched as Dan let go of his rope, slowly slipping himself into the calm waters of the lake. It was risky for us to carry out this plan, but hey, we were four idiots in a band who did all kinds of risky stuff over the years. Meanwhile, Kyle began his stupid rant about cute kittens, and this was the absolute worst situation to do that in. Woody and I tried to shush him, explaining that we would be humiliated if the others won the game because of him. The cat-man seemed to listen, and stayed quiet as we watched the activity on the mainland, carefully observing the lodge houses, forests and other places possible to hide in.
"Lillian's in that green sleeping by the campfire," Kyle quietly pointed out. For a loud mouthed cat, he certainly had eyes like a hawk.
I spotted Liam in a bush, his neon orange shorts giving away his position. "Only a retard wouldn't be able to see him," I shook my head at Liam's hiding spot.
"And there's Jerome hiding with Angela behind some thick spruce trees," Woody motioned his body in their direction.
"Hope they don't do anything," Kyle chuckled. For God's sake why'd he have to ruin it all with his dirty mind? Needless to say, he earned himself a good slap in the back of the head.
