I woke up the next morning and walked to the phone store just after it opened and bought myself an iPhone before going home. I set up the phone, then plugged my contacts in it and messaged my parent's to tell them I got the phone. Then I got Arielle some medicine and a bottle of water, knowing she'd probably have a headache when she woke up. I went into her room and put it on her nightstand before going back to my room and sitting on my bed. I looked at the jacket some more, before going over and searching through the pockets.

Sure enough, there was a small piece of paper with a phone number written on it.

Is there some sort of time limit you're supposed to give between when receiving a stranger's jacket, until when it's appropriate to return said stranger's jacket?

I sighed as I typed the number into my messages.

So, I don't know who you are, but I have your jacket.

That you do, my name's Liam.

I'm Samantha. So, when would you like to have your jacket back?

We could meet up this evening and have dinner perhaps? And I could get it back then.

I thought about this for a moment, weighing the possibility of him being a total creep with the opportunity to get free food and meet someone who might be kind of cool.

Alright, what time?

How about we'll meet at Nobu Berkeley at 7 tonight?

Alright, on a scale of homeless to I'll need to go shopping, how fancy is this place?

Hahaha, it's kind of up there.

Well I go get my shop on right away then. I'll see you then :)

See you then love :)

I wasn't joking when I said I'd need to go buy a new dress if it was fancy. I grabbed my purse and walked to Arielle's room. She emerged from the bathroom fully dressed as I stood in her doorway.

"Come on bitch, I've got a date tonight and I need a new dress," I said.

"How the hell do you already have a date?"

"This guy outside the club last night gave me his jacket because I was cold, now he wants to take me out to dinner so I can give it back. Apparently it's more fancy than what we're used to, so I need a new outfit."

"What? It's more fancy than the Olive Garden? You're going on a date with Mr Steal My Girl," she said, making me laugh.

She grabbed her bag and put a beanie on her head before we left the house and took the tube to the mall, surprisingly enough, not getting lost along the way.

We bought me a little black dress that in Arielle's words "makes your butt look so nice that if he doesn't kiss you at the end of the night he's definitely gay".

At 5:30, I started getting ready. I was ready by 6:10, I got directions to the restaurant then started out.

"Don't be gone too late or I'll have to send the police out to find you!" Arielle called out the front door to me.

"Yeah, yeah!" I said, as I held his jacket in my arms as I walked towards the tube.

It didn't smell nearly as bad on the tube as the train public transport in America did. That always messed like homeless person and wet dog.

When I walked towards the restaurant, I heard someone in the alleyway next to the restaurant.

"Psst! Sam!" the person said and I turned towards the voice, "It's me, Liam."
