Quitting smoking was easy, not drinking was easy, trying to be healthy was easy. It was everything else that was stressful, telling management was stressful because their initial thought was that this was going to impede the boys' work even more, even though I told them that I didn't want it to and that we'd do what needed to be done so the boys could continue to be in the studio and go on tour. Telling our families was less stressful than telling management, but still stressful. Going to the doctor had been stressful.
And telling the fans had been the most stressful, of all of the things that we had done in these last 6 months, telling the fans was the most difficult.
It came with mixed reactions, some thought the boys were growing up too quickly, and that they were going to forget about the fans, some thought that the boys needed to grow and accomplish other things in their lives as they were, and some were delighted because they had faith that they wouldn't be forgotten or overlooked because the boys were growing in their personal lives, they simply thought of the ways it could inspire new music. Those, were my favorite reactions.
There was no way to explain how the first 3 months of the pregnancy went expect for a lot of being sick, and a lot of watching Collin. I knew how to take care of a baby, that was never something I thought I'd had to worry about. But, I had begun taking care of Collin without Arielle, while the boys were away from trips, so that I could get the feel of having to do some things by myself some times. Liam didn't like the idea of me doing all of these things by myself. He didn't even like that I was picking Collin up because he was worried he was too heavy and could hurt the baby and I.
The gender ultrasound had shown that I was having a boy as well, which the girls were excited about because they had the whole We're going to give birth to the next One Direction idea in their heads. I would've be excited either way, of course.
"Sam, are you almost ready? We've got to get to the airport soon," Gemma asked as I put my belly support belt, since I was already about as big as Arielle was at the end of her pregnancy, and pulled my maternity shirt on over my tank top.
"Yeah I'm ready," I said as I opened the door.
We got all of our bags into the cars and drove to the airport. The boys were on a break in Australia with the 5SOS boys, so we were going to visit them. They'd been gone for about 2 and a half months now.
"Are we all excited?" Kami asked as we sat in first class on the plane.
"I'm tired," I yawned and leaned my head back on the seat.
"Now remember, washing your hands on a plane has more nasty germs than not washing your hands at all so I had some hand sanitizer for you to use preggo," Eleanor said.
"Aww thanks babe," I smiled.
When we landed in Sydney, it was early morning there, around 6AM. Preston picked us up and drove us to the hotel that the boys were also staying in and brought us up to the rooms. He used his extra key cards to open each of the boys' doors and he set my bags just inside the room for me.
"Thank you Pres," I smiled and kissed his cheek before going into the room.
Liam was laying in bed, on his stomach. The pillowcase of the pillow underneath his head had been replaced with my pillowcase from home that I always used and he had taken with him. I smiled and crawled into bed next to him. He stirred from the extra weight on the bed and opened his eyes. A smile immediately crossed his face and he wrapped his arms around me, getting as close to me as my stomach would allow.
"Hi baby," he said softly and nuzzled his face into my neck.
"Hi babe," I whispered back to him.
"I missed you."
"I missed you more."
He shook his head and kissed my neck.
"Not possible."
I just kissed his forehead.
We fell back asleep for a little while, about an hour and a half before we got up. We took a shower and then I put on a dress, since it was quite warm out right now, in the high 90's which was a bit weird for Sydney even in the summer months.
When we were completely ready, we all met up in the lobby and went to meet up with the 5SOS boys for breakfast.
"Samantha!!" Michael yelled when he saw me.
"Michael!!" I yelled back to him.
"Run to me!" he yelled.
"Don't make the girl run the baby could just fall right out of her," Ashton said as he ran towards me and hugged me, "How are you lovely?"
"I'm good, and you?" I asked.
"Much better now that you're all here," he smiled and hugged Gemma next.
Michael hugged me then went around to hug everyone else while I got hugs from Luke and Calum. Then we went into the restaurant and Michael demanded to be able to sit next to me. So I was in between Liam and Michael. Michael leaned towards my stomach and placed a hand on it.
"I'm gonna teach you so much bad stuff," he said directly to my stomach, and the baby moved and kicked him in hand, making him jump slightly then smile at me.
