Chapter Twenty Four

The vacation to the boys came and went much too quickly, and now we were back in London and I was folding baby clothes and putting everything away.

I only had 2 weeks left now until he was supposed to be here.

Liam and I had decided to name him Daniel Louis Payne, after my dad and Louis of course.

I looked around the nursery and I was happy, I rested my hands on my belly and finished putting away the clothes.

I pulled myself off the floor and went to take a nap on the couch downstairs.

I was woken up by horrible stomach pains, and not the contraction kind. I called my doctor as I forced myself to walk next door with my hospital bag to Arielle. My doctor told me to go to the hospital immediately.

"Oh god okay," Arielle said as she grabbed Collins diaper bag and got us to the car.

I called everyone else while we were on our way to the hospital, but none of the boys answered their phones and neither did Paul or Preston.

They admitted me to the hospitals maternity ward and it didn't take long for them to find out that the umbilical cord was wrapped around Daniel's neck. They prepped me for an emergency c-section and didn't allow anyone to come in with me.

The boys were only a couple hours away right now, so I knew once we got ahold of them they'd be here.

I heard Daniel cry as they got him out.

"Sam we need to put you under, everything's going to be okay and your son is beautiful," the anesthesiologist said to me, "You're going to fall asleep now."

He put a mask over my mouth and I was able to get just a glimpse of Daniel before I went under.

When I woke up, I was in a room that wasn't the original room I had in the maternity ward, it was a different one, and there was a nurse sitting beside me, writing things into a chart.

"Well hello there, good to see you're awake," she said with a sweet smile.

"What happened? Where's my son?" I managed to say, although my head was pounding.

"He's with his father, he's perfect, I'll go get your doctor," she said before leaving the room.

She came back a moment later with my doctor who had done the surgery.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Before we got you into the delivery room, Daniel managed to move in such a way that your placenta pulled away from your uterine wall, causing you to bleed heavily internally and it tore a part of your uterus open, so we had to put you under so that we could stitch you up appropriately, but you're absolutely fine and your son is as healthy as could be."

"Can I see him?"

"Yes, we'll take you back to that room now that you're awake, although you won't be able to stand just yet because the anesthesia hasn't worn off yet."

I nodded and they pushed my bed out of the room and down a couple hallways before entering another room. In that room, was everyone, the Little Mix girls, Arielle, Collin, Paul, Preston, the boys, Geoff and Karen. Liam's eyes lit up when he saw me as he held our son in his arms. They put my bed in the right position and plugged a few things in.

"Press the nurse call button if you need anything, and I'll come check in on you in a couple hours alright? A nurse will be in every half hour to check in on you and take your vitals," my doctor said, "And a pediatrician will be in here in about an hour to check on Daniel."

I nodded and smiled, "Thank you."

He left the room and I looked at Liam and held my arms out for Daniel. He passed him off to me and Daniel looked up at me with his big brown eyes and just stared as I looked back at him.

"The doctors said you'll both have to stay in the hospital for 3 days after today," Harry said.

I looked around the room, "Where's Kami?"

"She went outside a while ago to make a phone call," Arielle said.

After a few hours, Karen and Geoff left and so did the LM girls except for Perrie, as did Preston.

They wouldn't let me eat real food until I farted, apparently. So I had a lovely dinner of apple sauce, jello and juice.

Kami had her cell phone on my nightstand and she went into the bathroom. The nurse came and got Daniel to give him a bath. Kami's phone vibrated and I glanced down at it.

Kevin: I love you too babe.

I felt an anger build up in me and I pushed the tray away from me and clenched my teeth.

"Babe..." Liam said to me, "What's wrong?"

Kami came out of the bathroom.

"How fucking dare you," I said to her.

"What?" she asked.

"I let you come here, and live with Liam and I, I introduce you to Harry thinking hey maybe they'll be good for each other, and then you pull this shit," I said, grabbing her phone and throwing it at her.

Her face fell and everyone else was confused.

"That's bullshit Kamillia. Absolute bullshit."

"What the hell is happening?" Harry asked.

"She's still talking to Kevin, like lovey dovey talking," I said looking at him then glaring back at her.

"What the fuck Kami," Arielle said.

"I..." she began to say.

"I don't want to hear a damn thing you have to say," I said to her, "I want you to get your shit out of my house and I want you gone by tonight. You are not my friend, you are nothing to me. You have been stupid and disrespectful for the last damn time. I try and I try to help you get out of the stupid ass situations you get yourself into and you don't appreciate it at all."

She began to get angry.

"Don't you even dare get angry with me and try to spew any of your bullshit fucking lies like you always do when I get mad at you. Not a damn thing you can say to me or about me to anyone else is going to matter. All you are is a liar and a cheater and I can't believe I ever let you get close enough to one of the most genuine guys in the whole fucking world to hurt him. You're so fucking lucky I'm stuck in this bed or I would slap the ever living shit out of you right now," I said through clenched teeth, "Get the fuck out of our lives."

She grabbed her purse and left the room.

"Okay baby calm down, your blood pressure was already high, just calm down," Liam said, holding my hand.

Harry came over and kissed the top of my head, "Thank you for trying to give me happiness, and noticing when something wasn't right."

I took a few deep breathes and nodded to him.
