We were going home today, actually we were on our way home now. We were on the plane and Liam was asleep next to me, with both of our seats reclined completely and the arm rest up so he could get as close to me as possible, wrapping his arm around my waist. I looked at the ring on my left hand ring finger, and I knew I was happy. I was what everyone in my life had always wanted me to be. I was completely happy, I was in love, and I had not given up before I found my perfect person. And as I looked at Arielle asleep with her head resting on a sleeping Niall, I was even more happy. She had not given up hope that there was someone out there for her that was going to make her happy and love her for exactly who she was, inside and out. It sounded like a sappy love story, and it was.

We were completely happy, and I remembered very vividly the times when we thought we would never be. There was nothing better than this, achieving something you'd never thought you'd ever achieve and being a person that you can love, just as much as the person you're with loves.

Niall, Liam and the rest of the boys, and the girls, had changed us, for the better. They had made us realize the things that were important. Friends, family, and love. We were just two hopeless girls when we had met them, dreaming for things we never thought would really happen to us.

If you had told me, 4 years ago, that I'd be here where I am now, in love and engaged to Liam Payne, ready to be bound with him forever and start a life with him, I would've laughed in your face and said I don't even like One Direction that much. And you would've believed me, because I would've been being honest.

Now, I don't think I could ever picture my life without these people in my life. They have each brought something so special to me, whether it's a friend you can talk to, a friend you can laugh with, a friend you can trust, a friend you can go shopping with, a friend you can sing with, a friend you can spend the night with, a friend you know will make you smile when you're upset, a friend that will tell you they know you're not okay when you lie and say you're fine, a best friend who is there for you when you fuck up and just need someone to hold you while you cry, or a lover who does everything that you could've ever wanted and more than you could ever need for you just to wake up and see you smile every morning.

And I knew, inside that Arielle felt the same way about all of these things. I knew that she was glad that we had put in all of the effort we had so we could come here. It was supposed to be this way, we were supposed to go through all of the bullshit that we had gone through in life, so that we could end up where we are now.

To be happy was all we could've ever asked for for ourselves.

And we had everything we could ever need.
