You're My Mate?

Chapter Three

Just a heads up, this chapter is pretty dark and very mature. I would advise you all to be careful when reading this chapter. There are some sentences that will warn you about what's going to happen, so if you're easily triggered, it might be best for you to move to the next chapter or wait until it gets safe. I'll put warnings up so you'll know.

Austin's POV

I haven't been sleeping well at all. My wolf is constantly restless and it's keeping me up. I already look lifeless enough, I really don't want to keep adding to it.

You know why I'm restless.

No, I really don't.

If you keep acting this way you know what's going to happen, right?

What?

You're going to die.

I'll solve this problem right now.

I got out of bed and walked to the small cottage Taylor put Lucas in. I knocked on his door and he opened it looking just like me, lifeless.

"Austin? What are you doing here? It's two in the morning."

"I came to say that I, Austin, reject you, Lucas as my mate."

He stood there shocked and I walked away. Maybe now I can get some sleep.

You just made the biggest mistake of your life.

Please, I am a big mistake.

A few days passed and I've been sick. I've gotten pale and Taylor has been running the pack. It's gotten to a point where I can't walk without being in excruciating pain and not being able to walk is so damn infuriating.

I get out of bed and crawled to my bathroom. I grabbed some painkillers and poured a whole bunch into my hand.

If I can't walk while I'm alive, then I'll just die right now to speed up the process.

I put them in my mouth one at a time and swallowed. After about ten, I started feeling lightheaded. But I continued. I finished off the whole bottle which had about thirty in there and crawled back to my bed. I closed my eyes and let darkness take over.

Now I won't be a disappointment and a burden to anyone, anymore.

I was floating in the air so I did what anyone else who is floating would do, I did tricks.

I did front flips and back flips and even cartwheels. I was having so much fun and then I heard a voice I never thought I'd ever hear again.

"What the hell?" I mumbled to myself.

"Austy? Austy, it's me."

"Tanya?" I said lowly, surprised.

Then she walked in front of me. She looked gorgeous. She was wearing a pale yellow dress, her hair was curly and in an afro style that I loved so much. Her dark skin looked flawless and so pure. In essence, she looked just as gorgeous as she did when she was alive, if not better.

"Tanya!" I hugged her tightly and tears fell out of my eyes. She hugged back and giggled.

"Austin, enjoy these next few seconds." She said.

"Why?" I asked, pulling away and looking down at her.

"Because you have been the most absolute jerk I've ever met!" She hit me and was now wearing an angry expression.

"Ow! What the heck, why did you do that?!"

"Because of the way you treated Karen and her mate! Nobody in the entire world should be treated the way you treated them. And don't get me started on your mate! How dare you treat him so poorly, that is not the Austin I fell for but they do say what's done in the dark will come out in the light."

"You saw all that?" I asked shocked.

"No I didn't see all that I just took a wild guess- of course I fucking saw it Austin, I'm dead! I can see anything that I want and I chose to watch over you. And it was a mistake spending all those times thinking about us being mates. If I had known how you were going to act, then I never would've wasted all my time with you."

"Did you really come to me just to lecture me?"

"No, I came here to tell you to wake the fuck up and stop being so naïve. Austin, life happens and life told you that the love of your life is right in front of you but you keep pushing him away. What are you so scared of?"

"How could I possibly have kids?"

"You could adopt like your sister did."

"Please, they aren't her blood. How could I continue my lineage?"

"You don't. Austin, you and Karen are part of something great, you two are the first gay and lesbian wolves ever made. You two are special, you've always been special. Love who you are, not what everyone wants you to be."

"But I love you, Tanya. You've always made me a better person, hell you're still doing it now."

"And I'll always do it. Come on, I want you to see something."

"What?"

"What you were too blind to see, the world and how your actions affect everyone around you, Austin."

Sorry I'm not updating a lot lately, I'm in college and I don't have time to update, let alone write. I'll try and update when I can but just wanted you guys to know where I've been lol.
