You're My Mate?

Chapter 8

Lucas's POV

I've been staying at Karen's pack for the past month and I'm having so much fun. People here respect me, I've been training and I've made new friends which makes me really happy. Karen and Rachel really make me feel like I belong and I've become happier. My heart still aches because Austin isn't here but I don't have to deal with him belittling me.

I'm sparring with Rachel and she's a lot tougher than she looks. I got knocked down by a roundhouse kick and I struggle with getting up.

"Come on Lucas, we've taught you better." She said.

"I'm no match for a Luna," I replied spitting out blood.

"You're damn right." She replied smiling. She held out her hand and I took it and I stood up.

"You did good Lucas. I'm really proud of you, you've gotten better."

"I have a good teacher," I tell her smiling.

"Luna, Alpha wants to see you and Lucas." Someone said walking in the training room.

Rachel nodded and we walked to the office. Karen was sitting there filling out paperwork. Rachel walked in, Karen smiled and it made me miss Austin a lot more than I thought.

"I called you in here because I wanted to give you a heads up that my brother will be visiting the pack on pack business."

I froze and looked at her. "Seriously?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't have said it if I wasn't serious."

I squinted my eyes at her send she shrugged.

"Look, try to keep it civilized, if you argue, don't break anything please." Karen's eyes glossed over and she stood up. "Well, that's him."

"He's here already?!" I asked.

"Yeah."

"I wish I could've freshened up." Rachel said.

"You can go shower and stuff. It's only Austin, not like you have to make yourself look extraordinary for him."

Rachel punched Karen in the arm and turned to face me. "Lucas, don't worry too much about Austin, when you two cross paths, it'll be meant to be."

Just then, the door opened and a voice asked, "Karen, why can't you keep your damn rouges in control?"

I turned and saw how Austin looked. His eyes looked dead but he looked better than he did while in the hospital.

"How are you gonna come to my pack and start yelling? No introduction no 'Hey sis, how are you?' Like damn Austin!"

"Well if you could control your pack I wouldn't have to come down here raising hell."

"Oh suck a dick or something!" Austin's eyes got darker and he lunged at Karen.

He pressed his hand against her throat and pushed her against the wall.

"Austin, I'm only gonna tell you this one time and one time only." Rachel started calmly. "You better let go of my mate before you regret it."

I was so surprised that no one had jumped in to pull Austin off. Karen looked at him calmly and she even rolled her eyes. "Austin, you know you're too weak to even fight me." He huffed out and pulled away from her.

"So I hit a nerve too fucking bad, you need to suck it up and stop acting like a baby," Karen said.

Austin took a deep breath and sat down. "Can everyone give me a moment alone with my brother?"

We all walked out of the room and Taylor snorted.

"I don't know why Austin keeps acting like this. His temper is gonna get him killed."

"Hopefully whatever Karen tells him gets him to act like he has sense," Rachel replied.

I walked to my house and took a shower. Looking at my reflection, my eyes look lifeless but I feel better overall. I was so distracted, that when I walked out of my bathroom, I didn't see Austin sitting on my bed.

I screamed and my towel dropped from my waist. His eyes traveled down and I heard a low growl. I felt a stir in me and I rushed and put my towel back on.

"Austin, what are you doing here?" I asked confused.

He stood up, walked over to me and pushed me against the wall. His lips captured mine in such a haste. The kiss was rough and hot, just like Austin. He pressed his lower region against mine and we both let out a moan. He pinned my hands above my head and nipped at my neck. I couldn't see straight let alone think. Everything felt like it was whole like my life was complete.

He pulled away and looked at me in my eyes. "I accept you as my mate, Lucas."

*peeks head out nervously* hello everyone...you are reading this correctly...this is an update. I honestly hope I didn't push away any old readers with my um......late update. But I can explain. Long story short, I'm a very busy college student and I don't have time to breathe sometimes and because of that, that's why I'm literally never on here.

But I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. I have two other chapters already written and after that.....I have nothing. Since I have online classes cause of the chomonavirus (and yes I know it's spelled wrong I did that on purpose) I have time to POSSIBLY write.
