You're My Mate?

Chapter Four

Lucas's POV

I was packing up my stuff. I don't know where to go, my father kicked me out when I told him who my mate was, my mate rejected me, no one loved me and that's the hard part of this all.

There was a knock at my door and it was this new girl who just joined the pack. I don't even know how she knew where I lived, no one knows except for Austin.

"Hi Lucas, my name is Cara."

"How do you know me?"

"You're the mate of my Uncle Austin."

"Uncle?"

"More like adopted uncle. But my mom, Karen, is Austin's twin."

"The girl who talked Austin into letting me stay."

"Right. But I just wanted to introduce myself to you because in a way we're family and we gotta stick together."

"That won't be happening."

"Why?" She asked.

"Austin rejected me. I'm a rogue now."

"Oh perfect!"

"Why?" I asked offended.

"My moms are the Alpha and Luna of the rogue pack. Seriously, they accept anyone as long as they aren't trying to kill anyone. Trust me Lucas, you'll feel right at home there."

Just then, there was a more urgent knock on my door. I ran to open it and Beta Taylor was there.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Austin is in the hospital. He tried killing himself."

I ran in the direction of the hospital and ran to the pack doctor.

"Where's Austin?"

"He's not okay-" "Is he alive?" "Yes but barely. Only time will tell how he'll get better."

I sat down on the bench and buried my head in my hands. I broke down crying, only wanting Austin to be okay. He's all I care about right now and if he dies then I'll die with him.

I walked into Austin's room and held his hand.

"Please be okay. As much as it killed me, I liked it when you were yelling at me and being rude to me. At least you acknowledged me, even if you did hate my guts." I wiped a tear away and kissed his hand. "Please Austin, you're strong, you can fight it."

I got up and sat back on the bench. Rachel and Karen busted through and Karen went to Austin's room.

Rachel hugged me and I hugged her back, breaking down into tears again.

"Why does he hate me so much?"

She looked at me and said, "Because his nightmare came true."

"What nightmare?"

"Of being gay. Lucas, when Austin found out Karen and I were mates, he flipped out and hated us. He got us kicked out of the pack and ruined his relationship with his sister. They're civil around each other but you can still tell that deep down inside, Austin still holds a grudge against his sister."

"But why is he like that though?" I asked.

She shrugged, "That's a question that Austin has to answer."

I ran my fingers through my hair roughly and sighed out. Rachel patted my knee and stood up. "I have to go see Karen."

After about ten minutes, Karen and Rachel walked out and Karen gave me a hug. "You'll get through this, I know you will."

"Thank you." I whispered.

They left and I walked back into Austin's room. I held his hand once more and sat down beside him, upset.

"Please Austin, get better soon."

Lol I accidentally published this and it wasn't even done 😂😂 I didn't realize this chapter was pretty short so I'll post another one after this. Umm yeah, that's it guys lol.
