Everyone looked at me, somewhat dazed and confused. I repeated, “It’s a boy.” There was a moment of silence before cheers filled the room.
Lou and Niall were hugging each other, Liam had tears in his eyes and as I turned my head to see Zayn’s reaction I was greeted by his deep brown eyes staring back at my own. Tears were spilling out of everyone’s eyes; their reactions didn’t really make sense. I had only told them the gender of the baby. Liam walked up and moved Zayn out of the way. I looked at him with confused eyes. The room had fallen silent. “Is something wrong?” I thought to myself.
“This is what Harry wanted, he wanted a little boy.” Liam said a smile appearing on his lips. Their reactions made sense, they were happy that their best friend’s wish had come true, even if he wasn’t here. I sat down on the couch in shock. It was like everything Harry wanted was coming true. I immediately turned to the boys. “Tell me everything Harry wanted.” I somewhat demanded.
Zayn began, “He said that if he did get his baby boy he would put all our names in a hat to see what his middle name would be.” Zayn voice became happier. I smile at him.
Liam continued, “And then he would draw until one name remained and the one who was left would help select the first name. I thought it was kind of silly at the time, but it could work.” Liam finished, letting out a little giggle. “Only Harry.” I thought to myself before Niall interrupted my train of thought.
“And that was it really, Harry was always talking about this stuff.” Niall spoke moving out of his seat in excitement.
“Well, lets do something similar to that,” I suggested, “why don’t we put all the names in the hat and do it to find the middle name, but we can all pick a name?” I looked into Louis’ eyes, he’d been quite and I wanted to make sure he was alright with it. Harry was his best friend, he should have known him best, right?
“I think young Harold would approve of that!” Lou said, loud and strong. “In fact, get us a hat Payne!”
“Let’s do it!” I yelled. Everyone got excited.
