"Good morning sunshine"
"Good morning mom" I said while taking a plate with some of the scrambled eggs and bacon my mom have cooked for me.
I sat down beside my older brother, Marcus, who is in senior year and is considered the best big brother, by me."Did you do all your homework?" Marcus asked with a mouthful of eggs and bacon.
"Yeah. Marcus, eat up all that egg and then speak, that scene is actually pretty disgusting, thank you." I said between laughs and then took a bite of my breakfast."Haha" he swallowed his food and then looked at mom. My mom was expecting him to say something, so he did, "Crystal stayed up all night doing homework, I got worried, she didn't took her sight off of that huge old book."
"Sweetie, did you have a lot of work last night?" Mom asked while she took some dishes to wash them.
"Yeah kinda, but it was nothing mom, don't worry, I slept before 12"
I finished my breakfast and stood up, took my bag and went to my mom and kissed her goodbye.
She kissed me back on the forehead and told me my everyday phrase: "Have a great day, darling, don't let the haters get to you" like always I laughed at this and hugged her."Cris! Wait up! Bye mom, I love you, don't let the bad ass people get close to you" ,Marcus shouted through the kitchen and waved, even when he knew mom couldn't see him.
My mom laughed and waved, giving us that warm morning smile of hers.
I walked to the front door grabbing my jacket from the hook beside the door. I made my way out of the house to Marcus's car. I opened the door and sat down and waited for Marcus.
After a while Marcus came breathing heavily inside the car. He sat down, closed the door, and started the car. "Ready to go?"
"Yeah" I said while I put on my seatbelt.
"You should expand your vocabulary you know? Yeah won't be your answer to everything"
"Yeah I know, thanks for the tip" I laughed.During the ride we did the same as usual, listen to the radio and sang some of the songs out loud.
After a 15 minute ride, Marcus stopped near the sidewalk of the school. I got out of the car, before I closed the door, Marcus shouted my name and said, "Hey lil sis! Have a good day, I'll see you later ok? If you need me, call me and I'll run down the halls looking for ya"
I smiled and nodded, then closed the door and said, "Don't worry big brother, I'll be alright, like every other day." After saying this I left and waved at Marcus. He then drove away.
While making myself entering the entrance, I heard a high but sweet female voice call my name.
"Crystal! Crystal! Hey! Wait up!"I stopped and turned my head to look at her, seeing her screaming and running made me smile and laugh a little. I stood there waiting for Sharon to come to me. Her orange-red hair shined with the sun and her short curls flew up and down with the wind while she was running. She had a huge smile on her face and her white teeth glowed with sun's light and with her bright cherry-pink lipgloss.
She finally arrived and when she did, she stopped for a second and breath heavily. I waited for her to catch up her normal breath.
"Ok, ok, ok...woo..." she stood straight and smiled at me. "Hey"
I smiled back at her, "hey, what's up?""Cris, I got something big to tell you"
"What is it? Oh no, don't tell me you didn't get that discount on that shop that you wanted so badly?" I joked, I knew she wanted that discount, but I never thought she'll get it."No, it's not that, but now that I think about it, I didn't received any email about it, huh, weird. But no, the big thing is...that I was chosen to guide the new kid, which is a very cute and good looking guy from our class!"
