We entered to the history classroom and sat down in our seats. After a while, Mr. Garcia entered the room and placed his books on his desk.
"Okay class, open your books in the Constitution section. Let's read and analyze together."
__________________________The bell rang and all the students left the room quickly. While I still picked up my books and pencils, Sharon walked to me holding her books on her chest.
"Cris, I'll see you later, I'm going to meet this new guy. Ok? I'll text you just in case." Sharon smiled and waved. After that she left the room.
I took my bag and walked to the door, when then Mr. Garcia called my name. I turned around and asked what's wrong.
"Crystal, I heard there's a new student this week, and your friend Sharon will be the guide." He said to me.
I smiled nicely a little and nodded, "Yeah I know, she'd told me about it, but I don't know this student yet. Why?"
He smiled at me and gave me a folder with some papers in it, "I want you to give this to the new student if you can, since your friend is the guide of this guy, I want you to be his class helper. Can you?"
I thought about it, and that wouldn't be a bad idea, but I'm not a person that talks right away to the new students.
I nodded and grabbed the folder.
"Sure, I'll do it."He smiled again and thanked me. I then turned around and made my way out the door.
While waiting for the bell to ring indicating the second period, I sat down in a bench near the classroom I was supposed to go. I pulled a book from out of my book bag and opened it. 'Alone', my favorite book since I first started to read. I read it for a while, and then heard a familiar voice down the hall.
It was Sharon, walking next to a boy, probably the new guy, cause I haven't seen him before. She was laughing and playing with her curls while pointed to different spots in the school, showing him around.
After a while watching them walk, I turned my sight away back to my book and continued reading. I tried to concentrate on the reading, but I couldn't. I heard Sharon's voice get closer; I didn't want to look, I kept on staring at the book, but didn't read."Hey Cris!" Shouted Sharon down the hall.
I couldn't pretend I didn't hear her calling my name. I turned my head and tried to look as if I was looking where the calling was from. When I saw Sharon, I quickly smiled as if I haven't seen her for a very long time."Sharon. Hey, what's up?" I said nervously. I took a quick look to the guy walking next to her; tall, lean, seems fit, long light brown hair, big smile, and a handsome look.
"Everything is at the very okay." She laughed and stopped for a second. "Oh, um, this is the new student I've been guiding." She smiled. I smiled back and looked at the new guy. He stretched out his hand toward me and smiled and said nicely, "Hi, I'm Lucas Johnson, but you can call me Luke, nice to meet you...um..." he scoffed and smiled, "I forgot I still don't know your name yet." He scoffed again. I kept on staring at him. I stretched my hand to him too, shaking hands I responded back, "Crystal, Crystal Westbrook, nice to meet you too, Lucas Johnson."
I looked at Sharon waiting for her to say something. She looked quickly at Lucas and then back to me. Lucas wasn't looking at her, instead he was looking at me. I could see Sharon was trying to say something, but she didn't speak. She was mimicking it and put her hand as if telling me a secret. I looked at her in confusion, showing her I didn't understand what she was trying to say. Lucas could detect something suspicious so he looked back at Sharon, she smiled hugely. I rolled my eyes and scoffed. Lucas seemed confused but didn't say a word; he turned his sight back again at me and smiled, I smiled back and looked again at Sharon.
