I felt shivers all over my body. His eyes were never off me.

"I know you're not."

*******************************

When hearing this, a cold tear fell down my cheek. I sniffed and moved my chin off his hand.

"I'm just tired" I said while I wiped the tear with the back of my hand.

He moved his eyesight until getting to look straight at my eyes again, and smiled.
"I didn't know being tired made you cry."

I looked at him in an getting-angry-look, "I'm not crying." I sniffed again, and I knew I was tearing up but not crying. It's not the same.

He kept on smiling and staring right into my eyes. "Then, if you're not crying, you're sweating from your eyes." He laughed and looked at the ceiling above us. "I didn't know it was that hot to make your eyes sweat."

This made me smile and I couldn't resist.

"I made you smile", he said. Smiling again, perfectly.

I didn't say a word but kept on smiling.
Again, a hand, a touch; I felt his hand pull a hair strand to the back of my ear and away from my face.

This made me look up at him. This time, his eyes seemed to have a light in them, a light I have never seen before in anybody's eyes.

I couldn't say a word, neither breath normally. I was nervous.
I was scared.
And I didn't know what to do.

Finally, Lucas got to say something after the awkward moment.
"Ok........so, I guess you're looking for your friend, Sharon, right?" He put his hand up to his head and scratched his hair a little.

I did the same thing but instead of scratching, I just pulled my hair back behind my shoulders.
"Yeah, let's say that." I smiled. And he smiled back.

"She told me to wait for her while she went to the bathroom, but I wanted to explore a little bit more and I don't know how I ended up in the cafeteria, and there's where I found you and that girl eating each other up, but it seemed like she was the one eating you up."

The way he said it made me laugh a little, and it seemed like me laughing made him laugh too.

"Yeah it seemed like it, huh."

"But are you ok?" He passed his fingers through his long brown hair and then put both of his hands inside his pockets.

"Yeah, I'm fine, you don't need to worry, it's nothing new though."

I could notice he was looking at me with sparkly eyes and listening to me. He seemed to care about what really happened in the cafeteria between me and Delilah.

"Well, now I do have something to worry about." His smile was everything above perfect. It reminded me about those days of "The Incident", but that's past, I need to move on someday, but I know for sure I'm not falling for this one. Not this time.

I copied him by putting my hands in my pockets too, I was too nervous I couldn't do anything else.
"You don't have to, really"

He then got his hands out of his pockets and folded them in front of his chest.
"I do, and you can't tell me what to do, you're not my mom." More laughing and more smiling. Jeez what a God.
