After school I ran to catch up to Grayson.
"Gray!" I hollered.
"Sunshine?"
"I don't exactly have anything-" I was cut off.
"To wear? Don't worry. This is a casual date. Stay in what you're wearing." A big cheesy grin was plastered across his face. And I swear it made me do the same.
"A-alright." I could barely get the words out.
Grayson looked thoughtful for a few moments before he said, "Oh, yes, the date is at 4:00 PM."
"That's in 20 minutes!" I exclaimed.
"Better hurry then, Sunshine."I rushed back to my locker to retrieve the letter from Grayson. I glance down at the address and immediately run out the school doors. His handwriting was a bit sloppy but I was able to manage.
When I found the address I found myself standing in front of a huge two-story house with a fountain in the front yard.
"It's not mine. It's my Uncle's place. I'm staying here while my house is remodeled." Grayson appeared from behind the fountain.
"Well, it's beautiful..." I mumbled.
"Yeah..." His voice trailed off."Can I ask you something?" I asked. I was looking off into the distance because this was a sensitive subject for me. "Why would you pick me to go on a date with?"
"Whether you believe it or not, I can see the beauty behind the bangs."
