"A-are you going to kill me?" I asked.

He laughed. "Do I look like a murderer?" I eyed him up and down, taking in his black leather jacket, and his ripped jeans, "...Don't answer that question."
I couldn't help but laugh at him.
"There's the smile I've missed." A smirk grazed his face now.

"Grayson, stop. Everything you've been saying has been lies." I frowned.

"You've got this all wrong Sunshine. I don't just take any girls out on these dates."

"So you've done this before?" I rolled my eyes at him.

He sighed, "You're something special, Payton. You just remember that." He loosened his grip and gave me a nod that signaled for me to leave. I obeyed him and walked away with my hands behind my back. I looked back to see him grinning in my direction.

"You're something special, Payton."
His words echoed in my head for the rest of the night.

When Monday came I went to school with my held high. After hearing Grayson's words on repeat I my head all night, I was more energetic than ever.

"Oh look, that troll actually showed her face in school after what happened yesterday!" Breanna snorted.

Breanna was always my worst bully.

"What are you talking about?" I say, exhausted.
"The whole school knows about you sneaking around with Grayson these past few nights." Her brows furrowed.
I feel my eyes widen and I completely lose it on her.

I swung my fist at her and then just pounced. She was laying on the ground while I sat on her torso, throwing one punch after the other.
