What have I done?
The young prince stood in his quarters confused and shocked. It took him a good thirty seconds to come back to reality and realize that Elsa was gone.
His gaurds weren't present at his doors because he requested that they leave. That's when he broke out into a run leaving his chambers right open.
How late is it? Where did she go? Dammit, I shouldn't have pushed her.
Thoughts raced through his mind as he went down the hall. The housekeepers gave him strange looks, wondering what he was doing late at night, but ignored it as soon as he left.
"Elsa, I'm sorry. Where are you?", Jack whispered.
~
Damn you, Jack.
The young girl had ran blindly. Letting her legs lead her wherever they wished to go. She soon grew tired and found herself outside in the cool night.
As she looked down, she realized where she was. The palace gardens.
She never really got to look around the outside grounds of the palace so this was all new to her.
In the dark with the moon shining brightly, the gardens looked beautiful. Her eyes looked around spotting some blue colored roses. Her eyes lighting up as she made her way to them.
She crouched and carefully held one in her hand getting a good look at them.
In the moonlight, it looked as if it sparkled. Water droplets were still present on the roses as they were watered by the gardeners before night fell.
A urge of temptation suddenly went over her. She wanted to take one and keep it in her room. She knew it was bad to steal but stealing from the palace gardens wasn't even close to what the rotten empire had taken from her.
She got up from her position and sat at a nearby fountain staring at the roses. Her mind wandering to the events that played out earlier.
It can't be that bad? Ha. What a joke. It wasn't you who got kidnapped. It wasn't you who witnessed their village be destroyed. It wasn't you who had their life taken away. Of course. You were born with a silver spoon down your throat.
She couldn't believe that Jack could be this dumb, not knowing what his bloodline had done in the past week. Sadness and anger was slowly creeping up on her as she lost in her own thoughts.
That is, until she heard a small snap of a stick.
