Hargeon.
A small town with no real purpose than to harbor a couple of normal citizens. It had only one magic shop along with a bunch of other retail stores so this was obviously not a place for Wizards. Their port for shipments is probably the only thing that was keeping this town up and running.
My reflection was portrayed in one of the many business store windows, I didn't look a day over ten. Too bad I was really seventeen years old, but just possessed one of those baby faces and let's not even talk about height. All in all I guess you could say I wasn't ugly, but I didn't see myself as beautiful either with my light golden colored hair and gold eyes. My outfit consisted of a brown, red, and black strapless top that had a slit in the middle stopping just below my breasts, black shorts with a large red belt and golden buckle, knee high tan boots with black laces, and red and black gloves stopped just below my elbow.
I looked over my shoulder into the train behind me shaking my head at the sight. Oh but of course, I'm not alone on this trip - matter of fact I'm barely ever alone. My team trailed behind which consisted of two other people: Happy (a blue talking cat) who was currently consoling Natsu, my childhood bestfriend who looked like he was about to croak any moment.
"Natsu, you have to get up. We've just made it to Hargeon!"
Yeah, the cat could talk.
Animals that had the ability to speak weren't uncommon anywhere magic-woke.
Natsu just looked up before resting his chin back down on the wooden floor. He was of average height with a tan skin tone, dark eyes, and spiky pink-colored hair that resembled hers. His attire was a bit much, a sleeveless gold trimmed black waistcoat open and black cloth that wrapped around his waist reaching to his knees that were held together by a leather brown belt. He adorned white trousers, open-toed sandals, and a scale patterned scarf that he never seemed to take off.
He was prone to motion sickness, making it almost impossible and not to mention an unnecessary hassle to get him anywhere. A worried train attendant made his way over, checking to see if everything was okay.
"He's fine, he's always fine." I dismissed him before bending down, attempting to throw him over my shoulder. Sure - I was small but that didn't mean I possessed no strength whatsoever. But once I saw his cheeks filled with vomit, my first instinct was to throw him out of the train and against the store window that once held my reflection. Inconsiderate or not, throw up wasn't an accessory I was interested in. "Rose, seriously?" Happy looked up at me with disappointment in his eyes.
I just rolled mine and simply muttered. "Self preservation."
Natsu groaned, slowly getting up and brushing the glass shards off his shoulders. "You're the worst partner ever."
I chuckled, "If that were true, we wouldn't still be on the same team after so many years." We did work best together, all three of us most likely considering none of us were compatible relationship wise with anyone else in our Guild.
It's all about the bond, not about who you just grab randomly because you're alone.
Without a second to waste, an old man with a broom came out from the shop, waving it around. "You hooligans! I'll shove this stick so far up your-"
"I think it's time to go!" I grabbed Happy by the tail and took of in a sprint while Natsu fled behind us, I wasn't willing to hang around and let him finish that sentence.

"It was stupid to come here over something you heard, what if it wasn't even the right information?"
