"Rose, Gray... what are you two doing just lying around?"

Natsu's voice spoke from above me, I was on my back barely breathing while Gray was face down on the floor. We had just gotten the crap kicked out of us, my scratch on Lyon's face only enraged him so much that he mustered up enough power to leave us on the brink of death, and this was no exaggeration. I slowly sat up, holding my side."Why did you come back up here?"

"I couldn't remember the way to the village."

I just sighed, not in the spirit to argue with his immense stupidity. I crawled over to Gray, getting up on my feet and bending down to help him up. I can't believe we let him get away and how Lyon spent more time beating up him than me. His face was covered in scratches, blood dripping down his cheeks as he looked from side to side. "Where did he run off to?"

"He was gone when I came back up here, everyone was except for you two."

"I need to fi-"

Gray almost collapsed but I caught him, barely. "You're in no condition to be walking or standing on your own." I myself wasn't either but one of us needed to gather our strength up and I decided I'd let him be the one to. After all, this technically wasn't my battle to fight - I was just along for the ride. Natsu seemed to agree with me as he lifted Gray up onto his soldiers.

As we started off walking, I leaned against him for support. Gray had spoken up after a little while, "I'm sorry I doubted you guys before we got to Galuna Island. I'm no better, I'm weak."

This didn't satisfy Natsu as it usually would, but only enraged him. "Stop feeling sorry for yourself because you lost a fight! We're members of Fairy Tail and we don't give up when times are tough, the only way we can live is to keep running!"

I led Natsu through the jungle, Gray having knocked out on his back. It was good that he did since he was going to be needing some rest and our priority was no longer Lyon, but the villagers. He would have to be attended to later. "Look!" I grinned when the big wooden gates came in sight.

"That would have taken me until morning to find."

"I know, what would you do without me." I gave him a cheeky smile before running towards the gate, one of the villagers seeing us approaching - raising up the gate. Natsu began following me at a different pace. "We made it back, boy do we have a lot to tell you!"

I narrowed my eyes, something felt off when I saw Lucy standing next to Virgo, waving her arms while shaking her head. That's exactly when I noticed it, a big heap of grass just sitting right in front of the gate. "Natsu, wait!"

"What?"

And just like that, he stepped on it and fell inside with Gray still on top of him. I placed my hands over my mouth as I jogged over to the side of the hole, that must have hurt so much for both of them. I peered over the side at my partner, Gray on top of him.

"Very funny! But we don't have time to play practical jokes on each other."

"It was Lucy!" Happy outed her with no hesitation.

"I should have known!"

Lucy put both her hands on her cheeks out of shame. "No, it wasn't like that!"

I rolled my eyes and leaned down to help them both out. "While we were getting the shit beaten out of us you guys decided to dig a hole?

"How bad did that masked guy beat you guys up?" Lucy frowned at me when she noticed how roughed up I was.
