Adilyn's P.O.V

"Really?" I shouted at them.

"Addie, please calm down darling," Mum said, reaching out for my arm to stop me before I said something I'd regret.

"You should know better than showing up," I shouted, wishing everything was just a dream, a dream I could just forget.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have came home," my father said, making his way towards the door.

"This is and never will be your home," I said through gritted teeth,"I never want to see you again."

He didn't seem to change much in these past seven years, still the same old light brown hair but now greying and those tried turquoise eyes. I hated myself for looking so much like him, being the purest reminder of him to Mum.

"I'm sorry, Oscar. Maybe it was too early," Mum said looking down, clearly regretting her decision.

"It's okay, Taylor. But Addie, if you ever want to talk to me, ask your mother. I won't push you," Oscar said looking away.

"I'll be in my room," I said running towards my bedroom, slamming my room door with a loud bang.

It was at these times I wished I had Neels by my side, but I guess you'll always want things you can't have.

So I opted for the second option, deciding to text Neels old phone. It was like I was still texting him but instead he just didn't reply. He lost it during the summer when we went to the beach.

the next chapters will be adilyn texting neels throughout the year. i think i'll only do about 200 texts or so, so get excited :)
