"Don't start this up again, Millie."

I shook Sadie as she was still peacefully asleep. "Wake up, you little nacho!" I yelled into her ear.

"Why? It's only 9:00.." Sadie groaned, rubbing her eyes. She loudly yawned and stretched out her arms.

"We're going to set things straight with Finn. I made some cookies." I said, pointing to the three pack of cookies that sat on my nightstand.

"You have ten minutes to get ready." I said to Sadie as I ran a small brush through my hair. She fell back onto the bed and growled.

She went to the bathroom to get dressed. I looked out the window to see if I saw anyone or anything going on.

Sadie came back a short time later dressed casually in shorts and a blue t-shirt. She tied her shoelaces and quickly stood up. "Ready?"

"All set." I said, dashing down the stairs with my cookies for Finn in hand and words to say in mind.

We walked the sidewalk and stepped up the steps to his house. Sadie rang the doorbell while I whistled awkwardly.

A sleepy Finn answered, and once he realized it was me, he jumped. "God, why are you here, princess?"

"I came to set things straight!" I said, and he wasn't buying the fake happiness. "And I made cookies?"

"I'm not apologizing if that's what you want." He said, rolling his eyes almost unnoticeable to my view.

"I didn't ask you to apologize, did I?" I asked, plastering a wider fake smile on my face. I tried my hardest not to grit through my teeth in a fake way but I was struggling.

"Why is that perky friend of yours here, princess?" He sleepily said, yawning loudly. I could tell that this early in the morning, he didn't want to deal with me. "Should I expect to see her around more often?"

"Yes, and I don't like being called princess. It's Millie to you," I said, lightly smacking his arm. He laughed and called my 'hit' weak. My face began to burn with anger.

"It's not like I was trying to hurt you, stop jumping to fucking conclusions." I screamed. Sadie gasped, and jumped up and down in a weird way.

"Millie, you never curse!" She said, adjusting the sleeve of my shirt as my mom usually did. "I love this new change in you!" She happily said afterwards.

"Oh, so this princess is also a pretty little mommy's girl, huh? Never made a mistake in your life?" He mocked me with a squeaky voice which made me boil with anger. "Well my life isn't like that." He finished.

"I would've guessed, considering you can't pay for your own goddamn electricity bill," I said, pointing to his power box where the cables weren't plugged in. "Sorry, denim boy."

"Millie, we came here to make up with this boy, remember?" Sadie said in that voice teachers use when talking to preschoolers. "We don't want to put ourselves into anymore trouble, do we?"

"Oh, can it, Sadie. I don't need your bullshit right now." I said, looking back at a rather shocked Sadie. She shrugged, because she knew quite well that I meant it as a joke. "Also, denim boy, if you can't address me by my first name, I won't address you by yours."

"Fine with me, princess." He said, slamming the door on me. I looked over to Sadie and her expression was awkward, because she didn't know what to say. "DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT!" I heard Finn shout from inside his house.

"Sucks for you, I already left." I whispered to myself, and Sadie heard it and laughed. I didn't aim for it to be funny, but Sadie thinks the word 'amputated' is funny.

"Millie, what are you gonna tell your mom?" Sadie asked, grabbing a cookie from the bag that Finn didn't even bother to take. "Are you gonna lie?"

"I won't even bring it up unless she asks," I said. "but if she does ask, I'm gonna tell her that things went well. So yes, I'm gonna lie. This is a first..."

"Guess this ruins your little good girl reputation, doesn't it?" Sadie said, messing up my hair. I quickly fixed it and nodded. I had to admit, I never really intentionally do anything wrong.

"Starring as the little good girl gone bad... Millie Brown!" Sadie dramatically added, imitating the beginning of a play or movie. It would probably be called something relating to denim or princess.

"Yeah..." I trailed off. "Wanna get ice cream or something?" I smiled, and I knew Sadie would say yes. Sadie never turns down food, it's quite shocking if she does.

"Yeah," She said, taking out a ten dollar bill. We walked along the sidewalk in unison. I looked over to Noah's house where he stood outside.

Sadie pushed in front of me and got Noah's attention. This couldn't lead to anything good, I just knew it.

"NOAH, YOU SHOULD INVITE MILLIE TO YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY, BITCH!" She shouted, as Noah looked over.

Noah developed a crush on Sadie in third grade, so she knew he was going to change the invitation list right away.

Sadie high-fived me as we watched the small boy run inside his house in a hurry. She heard him scream "MOOOM! MY CRUSH HAS DEMANDS!"

I giggled as we neared closer to Baskin Robbins. It was quite crowded, considering it had just recently merged with Dunkin' donuts.

We stepped in the back of the line, behind a tall boy. He was around the same height as Finn, or denim boy.

Sadie kicked him in the back of his knee and he cursed under his breath. Of course, it was a test to hear his voice.

"God damn," The boy turned around. "God damn." The boy had brown hair and he looked
me up and down.

"Step off," I snarled, realizing who they were. "Bitch!" I yelled, covering my mouth.

"We meet again, mi amor." He winked. Of course, it was Romeo. He hit me last year, and that made me mad.

"Oh, shove a stick in it, asshole." I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms because I meant business.

"Firstly, you've learned to use curse words?" He chuckled. "Secondly, you put that incident on yourself."

"What's wrong with stating an opinion, god damn it!" I screamed, grabbing Sadie by the arm.

I pulled her out of the store with no hesitation. No temptation to look back. If I get pissed off one more time...

"Control your anger." Sadie said to me, shaking me by the shoulders. "Breath in and out, really slow."

"In," she breathed. "Out." She exhaled. She repeated the process until I sat in a serene state of calm peace.

"Oh, looks like princess is having anger issues."
