"Little miss princess,"

"Oh my gosh," Sadie whisper-screamed. "OH MY GOSH!" She jumped up and down and Finn smiled.

"Well, what does that make us?" I asked, turning towards Finn. He looked down at me, and ran his thumb across my cheek.

"Girlfriend and boyfriend are too cliche. Why not denim boy and princess?" He said, causing my face to turn upwards to a smile.

"I feel like a much-needed third wheel right now," Sadie said, shedding false tears. "I knew these nine years of friendship would pay off."

"Anyways, drinks?" Finn asked, leaning against his fridge. I looked up, happily.

"Do you have orange juice?" I asked. I really like juice, but the alcohol juice was a little sour I must admit.

"I have a juice that is orange." He shrugged.

"If it has alcohol, then that's a no from me." I shook my head. He poured a glass.

"It's alcohol free." He nodded, handing the glass to me. I took a sip. It was bittersweet and gave your mouth a stinging feel.

"Surprise! You just drank alcohol." Sadie said to me, slapping her knee and laughing.

"Shit..."

-

"My mom wants to know where I am," I growled, walking outside alongside Finn and Sadie. The morning air was chilly.

"Then tell her, your house is literally right there." Finn pointed to true small ten yard gap between our houses.

"I'll be right back!" I yelled back, running up the steps to my front door. I knocked lightly.

My mom opened the door slowly, and her eyes widened as soon as I came into view. "Millie-moo! Where have you been, sweetheart?"

I breathed heavily and spat out a small little line that was truthful and not.

"Hanging out with the boy next door."

She had a strange expression on her face, as if she was mad or something. She wasn't happy but she also wasn't going to rip me to shreds.

"Does this boy next door have a name?" She asked, crossing her arms. I really couldn't tell what expression that she was trying to convey.

"Yeah, his name is Finn." I said, smiling. She grit through her teeth as I smiled.

"Ah, classic." She said, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, feel free to hang out with your local fuck boy, sweetie."

"Mom!" I gasped, putting my hand against my chest dramatically. "He isn't like that, what the hell?"

"I thought you wanted me getting along with him!" I yelled back, throwing the black dress I brought home to the ground.

"Since you don't, I guess I'd better go be his best friend!" I smiled, turning back around, and walking out.

"What did she say?" Sadie asked, twirling a lock of her curly red hair. She must have been waiting for a happy ending answer. That's not what she was going to get.

"Yeah, what Sadie said." Finn said, elbowing Sadie.

"Looks like I'm not going home anytime soon," I said, throwing my arms up and dropping them back down against my sides.

"I'm gonna need to borrow some denim,"
