It had been a week since my little episode on the stairs. Sebastian, since he was in charge of my recovery process, was by my bedside every ten minutes asking me if I needed anything. At first it was a little awkward, but I didn't mind it. But then the days started dragging on. Aunty Anne told me that I wasn't aloud to leave my room for a whole week, since the outside world was too 'stressful' and I needed my rest.

The first couple days of my recuperation was mostly me sleeping, or well trying too. I didn't like to fall asleep in fear that the creepy voice would come back. I didn't want to see the things he showed me, again. I was happy when I could peacefully sleep through the night once and a while or take a nap without waking up to Sebastian shaking me and telling me that I had been screaming.

In the last two days or so, I felt the need to get up and move. I couldn't stand being confined to my bed anymore. Since I wasn't aloud out of my room and sneaking out wasn't an option, I had tried but it always ended up with Sebastian popping out of no where and demanding that I get back to bed, I had to pace around my room. I was surprised that there wasn't a trail in the carpet where I had worn it down with my feet.

Now that I had a mission, to find out more about the Radley family's deaths, I just couldn't stay in my room. I nearly jumped up and kissed Sebastian when he came in one day and told me that I had visitors and that I was aloud to go down to the parlor to sit with them. I already knew who they were before Sebastian told me, it was Cora and perhaps even Carlie and Henri. I had sent a letter to Cora a few days prior asking her if she could come over because I had some urgent favor to ask her.

Cora's father, Harry Hiltch, worked with the Yard before he became a business man. He was one of the main investigators when Karmen went missing. I was hoping that Cora could get me some files on her death, she could talk her dad into anything.

I quickly got dressed in a simple gown and slipped on some black flats. I left my hair down but brushed it so it hung in light curls down my back. My mothers necklace hung on my neck.

I was in such a rush to get down stairs that I almost ran into Sebastian in the hall.

"Please be careful, Lady Jayne." He smiled down at me with his fake smile.

"I'm sorry, Sebastian." I said trying to get around him in an effort to get to the parlor.

"Allow me to escort you," He curved his arm out to me,

"Fine," I said shortly as I placed my palm in the curvature of his elbow while glaring up in his direction. He didn't pay any mind though as he continued down the stairs.

"Cora!" I shouted, trying to rush ahead to my childhood friend that was sitting in one of our couches drinking a cup of tea. Sebastian stopped me with his hand,

"Lady Jayne, please do not strain yourself." He chided,

"I'm fine, Sebastian." I snapped.

"Well, alright." He said as he released my arm,

I hurried over to the couch to where Cora had risen from her seat and was now standing. After a greeting we both hugged and returned to the couch. I asked her about her home life, and her father and his job. We talked about my blackout and I even opened up to her about my dreams I had been having.

It wasn't until Cora was about to leave that I pulled her up to my room.

"Cora, I need your help." I said quietly, fearing that someone would over hear.

"What's wrong?" She asked worriedly.

"I was wondering if you could get me something,"

"Like what?" She asked. "Jayne tell me what's wrong," she urged.
