I couldn't move and Sebastian kept moving closer and closer to my frozen form.
"Are you alright, my lady? You seem a bit pale," To any other person, Sebastian, just looked to be asking a simple question. To me, he was mocking me. Mocking my reaction,
"I'm fine, Sebastian." I said quietly watching the closer approaching butler. I saw his face twist into a wicked, precarious smirk. That's when I became angry and decided that I wasn't going to be bent to Sebastian's will.
"No, I am not fine! Tell me what you know about Jacob!" I said, my voice rising, but only slightly since I didn't want Ciel to hear.
"I do not know anything about the late Mr. Radley." Sebastian's smirk was gone, but I could still see traces of it on his face and in his eyes.
"Yes, you do! If you didn't then how did you know that he was at the party tonight?! How did you know that he saved me from being torn apart and sold to random strangers?! How did you know that, Sebastian?" I ranted. After weeks of nobody listening to me it felt good to let out my anger. I felt a little sorry for Sebastian though, since he was the one that was getting all of my frustration.
"I didn't." He smiled, "Jacob, couldn't have been at that party since he's dead. And as for the part of the night when you said that you were going to be torn apart and sold, I'm sure that didn't happen. Are you sure you're feeling well? Because I would hate for you to have another one of your episodes again. Please, allow me to help you get ready for bed. I think some rest would do you some good, lady Jayne."
"No! I'm not tired, I'm not sick! I know that you and Ciel are hiding something from me and I will find out what it is!" I hissed.
"Oh dear," Sebastian tisked, "It seems that you have a fever." He took his white gloved hand and placed it on my forehead, before I could yank my head away his hand was already retreating back to his side.
"Get out!" I seethed through my teeth, I was so angry now that I didn't have time to react to the contact that Sebastian and I had, had. It was only after I had forced Sebastian out of the door and was leaning up against it that my blush finally became present on my face.
"Stupid butler," I muttered before changing into my night clothes and slipping into bed.
"London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down. London bridge is falling down, my fair lady. Build her up with diamonds and pearls, diamonds and pearls, diamonds and pearls. Build her up with diamonds and pearls, my fair lady."
The strange version of the children's classic song rung in my head. It was as if it was echoing inside of me, like I was empty. When I tried to open my eyes, I realized that I had no control over my body. It felt like it was numb and I couldn't feel it.
After laying in the same position, listening to the song clank around in my head, for what I'm assuming was hours. It all finally stopped.
The numbing sensation slowly started to fade away, but as it was going, so was my memory. I couldn't remember who I was, what I was doing, where I was, or even how to control my body. The only thing that I could remember was that song,
"And so I thought to myself, you are my favorite. And then I began thinking, that I'll keep you." A new voice had said right beside my ear, it sounded familiar. It sounded like the same voice that had sung to me just a moment ago.
"Now I think to myself, that you should wake up now. Build her up with diamonds and pearls, diamonds and pearls, diamonds and pearls. Build her up with diamonds and pearls, my fair lady."
As soon as he started singing, my eyes snapped open and my legs swung over the table that I was laying on. I was immediately met by a pair of purple eyes.
