Chapter 6

CLICK! Diana who had been asleep for hours awoke a little startled and dazed to see were the almost silent noise had came from. She watched from the gap in the quilt as a large black shiny cape fluttered past to the large silver door. It was Bruce, he was leaving? Alone? As he left quietly trying not to wake anyone, Diana quickly threw on a black small cloak before she began following him, curious as to were he was going but also trying to catch up with him who was moving almost like the speed of flash himself.

As she looked on, she watched Bruce enter a partially destroyed large building which had seen better days. She walked slowly and cautiously towards it accidentally kicking a piece of scrap metal. Clink!! She picked it up curiously to reveal a very dusty and scratched "Wayne manor" in bold writing carved into the plate, Bruce's home was destroyed. She knew she had to find Bruce unsure of his state of mind, after all this was his life and livelihood and also was once his parent home. Bruce had already disappeared into the small gap in the window where Diana quickly followed.
The darkness consumed Diana as she struggled to see, she wandered aimlessly for almost an hour through the once beautiful home and still no sign of Bruce. One thing that did startle her was the painting just above the fireplace where what she assumed was his study were a portrait of Bruce and his parents hung, but was clearly damaged.

Then just in the distance across the hall, a light sparked on. She walked quickly to the light which turned out to be another, more equipped study was. Small books lay on the desk with a flickering candle placed very close to them like someone had been reading them recently.
Before Diane could even take another step a large arm swung round her neck and a small sharp object began to pierce into her back. The amazons both warrior instinct and thirst for battle began to emerge.
Diane began to run quickly out of options of how to escape the clutches of her attacker without injury. She decided and done the only thing she could do and knew how to was fight back and used her sword to slice the candle in front of her in half submerging the study into darkness before knocking whoever this was into the wall face first but was surprised at their combat of both defence and offence.
She drew her sword numerous of times hitting the attacker only a few measly times, who retaliated by knocking her to the ground tactically.

"That's it" Diane grabbed the fiend angrily and dropped them by there head and waist into her knee almost breaking their back but it wasn't enough as they began to stand up moaning in pain and still ready to fight back. After a few life threatening combat moves by Diana and this fiend, eventually ended in Diana damaging her ankle severely.

Diana began to speak for the first time in pain since she entered the manor in anger
"By Hera you will never leave here alive" Diana spat as she stood up in agonizing pain.
"Diana is that you?" The fiend shouted from the other side of the room. That voice, it sounds just like. A match was struck and another candle was lit. A small quantity of blood splatter lay scattered all over the floor as the candle illuminated the room.
Bruce!! What are you doing here?
"I should ask you the same question and are you ok I thought you were someone else."
I'm fine! Diana smiled
" just a sprained ankle I think and some bruising nothing to worry about."

"I came here for something in the bat cave but I think I should have a look at your ankle first, there's a bed in the next room you can lay until I get some things from the cave."
" I am sure I can walk to the room aghh... OK maybe not so much"
Diana smiled as Bruce wrapped his arms around both Diana's legs and arms and carried her to the main bedroom which turned out to be his room. He delicately lay her across the satin sheets being careful not to hurt her ankle.
"I'll be back in a few minutes Diana I just need to pick up a few things from downstairs" he whispered as he left the room with such hesitation.

Diane began to let her mind wander as she looked around at the magnificent art work which hung from his walls, she particularly admired a small painting just above his bed of a woman dressed in white like a goddess which surprised her of how exquisite a painter Bruce was and how good he was at hiding it, she recalled a day when she once walked in on him painting. The gentleness of every brushstroke was seen as she watched him paint fruit which was slightly cliche but was still beautiful. Bruce had once even let Diana paint when she accidentally walked in him as long as she kept it a secret which Diana found amusing.

A few moments passed and Bruce returned with a small black pouch which he slipped into his back pocket and a jade green first aid box. Bruce sat very close on the bed to Diana as he began to wrap a few crystal white bandages delicately round her small ankle.
"How's your ankle now Diane" Bruce said with a a concerned tone
"It's still a little sore but it will be fine thank you but your lip it's bleeding and your chest it's bleeding too."
"I think you pack a bigger punch than I give you credit for" smirked Bruce as he wiped the blood from his lips.
"Come here and let me help you"
Diane quickly picked the alcohol and cloth and began to dab his lips.
"ok this will hurt a little but remember you hit me first haha"
Before Diana knew it both her and Bruce where staring intensely at each other eye locked on each other.
Bruce smirked
" you remember the last time we were like this....all we relied on was control and now it's gone"
Diana removed Bruce's mask running her fingers through his hair
" Are you afraid if what almost happened in the ship happened here ?" Diana whispered
Bruce's hand became tighter round Diana's waist.
" I'm afraid if I kiss you I don't think I will be able to stop" Both Diana and Bruce lay on the satin sheets as Bruce slid his hands through Diana's hair slowly running his lips up and down Diana's neck.
"What if I can't stop myself Diana?" Bruce whispered seeming breathless
Diana quietly whispered in Bruce's ear " I don't want you to stop"
There lips became closer as bruce's hand slid through Diana's hair so effortlessly. The moment they had waited for had come, Diana's legs wrapped round Bruce who smiled charmingly. Still in an almost kissing position Diana dragged her fingers across Bruce's armour releasing his belt buckle as Bruce slid Diana's tiara off throwing it to the floor.
" I love you Diana.... ever since our first encounter, princess" confessed Bruce as his passion and urge to kiss and hold Diana became stronger.
"I love you to."

There heads touched, there bodies entwined, the inevitable was upon them, these gods of justice were becoming enticed by their untameable desires until .......
A noise came from the long corridor, footsteps. Bruce quickly jumped up from the bed, Diana tried to follow Bruce but was still injured and lay helplessly on the bed.
" Diana !!! , Diana where are you?"
The footsteps came even closer. that voice and the familiarity of it, it's.....
