Hi 😄 Happy Birthday my Prince Hamster! I'm sorry I'm two days late, I had school during your birthday 😖 but better late than never, right?
I knew you as the funny guy, the one who always bickers with Seungkwan, the one who has 10:10 eyes, and the one who has those weird but amusing hand gestures (see: crab and jellyfish). But Kwon Soonyoung, I dug deeper, slipped harder, and I know you now as the most hardworking choreographer of Seventeen.
I am amazed (although let's be real, this isn't new) and proud that Seventeen has come so far in a span of two years. That you have come so far in a span of two years. You have improved so much, learned so much, worked so hard, just to achieve what you are becoming today. And we, CARATS, are very, very happy that you are being successful in doing what you love the most.
I've only been a CARAT for five months, but I've already seen the very best of you. And I know you can develop that into something bigger. Because you, Kwon Soonyoung, you are absolutely extaordinary. Your powerful moves, bright smile, and fierce eyes make you so unique in your own way. You say you don't like your eyes, but guess what? We love them. Okay, going off topic here 😅 but anyway, love yourself Soonyoung, I know you do.
22 years old is an age of many opportunities, and I really hope you take those awaiting you. As you're becoming older, I hope you find new parts of yourself, enjoy your career more, and bond with the boys. You're becoming more and more mature as the months pass, and I wish for you to have more passion, in performing on stsge, to be more mature and focused (although you are very charismatic on stage, everyone knows that) and I also wish for you to enjoy and make the most of your performances.
Surely you will encounter conflicts, and I know you have already encountered many as you were growing up, and now that you're a year older, a year wiser, those conflicts that will try and block your way to your dream, you will resolve those. You are a strong man, Soonyoung, I know you can do it. If ever you're having a hard time, just ask for help and advice. Whether it's from your hyungs or dongsaengs, ask for help. You will overcome this together.
Anyway, I wish you good health. I know that you're very tired because of promotions. So please, for me, for CARATS, for you: don't overwork yourself. We know that you're working hard, and you're doing great. See, you even won on your birthday! It proved that you are a very hardworking person, even if it is already clearly evident. My friends gave me Kwon Souhyun as my Korean name, and I embraced it (cringy but anyway), setting my mind that 'Soonyoung is my "brother"'. Honestly, I think you would be a really great brother. It's probably childish and assuming to call you my 'brother' because in reality, 1) you don't even know who I am and 2) we're not even blood related 😂😅 but if we really were siblings, I just want to let you know that I love you, very much. I'll look up to you dearly, and will be encouraged to be successful like you are. If I were your sister, I'd always looks forward to your calls, which probably would be rare, you're super busy, and support you no matter what. 오빠, 사라해 💖
