Chapter one:
Fault in our stars:
I had three more days before moving back to London. This Summer Break has definitely been eventful. Between sky diving with my older brother Henry and cooking with my older sister Amanda, I was doing everything you can imagine. Okay maybe not everything but I was doing a lot.
One of the things, unfortunately, was to read a book. It's not that I don't like reading. It's just that I don't really have much time. So I chose Fault in our stars. I did watch the movie but according to Henry's wife Caroline, the book is better.
So I gave it a try. I read it four times actually. I found it bearable. Not that it's a horrible book or anything. It's just not what I expected.
And that is why Caroline and I were having an argument about that while setting the table for dinner.
"Augustus takes her to Amsterdam to meet Peter Van Houten and get the sequel to An Imperial Affliction" argued Caroline putting a bowl of potato salad on the table.
"Yeah, I know but why would she risk her damn life to meet a worthless alcoholic. Even if Hazel asked Gus to take her to Hawaii to swim with the dolphins, without a good reason, he would've done it" I argued back putting a jug of mango juice on the table.
"Of cause he would've. The guy is whipped" she said matter-of-factly. I put a fork next to each of the seven plates on the table.
"Good point. But even though that is true, she should've chosen something better. If I was her I would've asked him to get me a lifetime supply of Ben and Jerry's. Stupid girl" I shook my head.
"No ways, H.That would've been stupid too. She thought she was going to die before him. She needed to know what happened to the girl in the books mother and the Dutch tulip man and the hamster" she put seven glasses on the table.
We both looked at the table to see if there was anything we left out. There wasn't.
"I adore Augustus Waters for taking her to see the worthless alcoholic. That was a very romantic gesture. However, I still think he's stupid and I still think she's stupid. They're all stupid" I said walking to the kitchen.
"Wow, Harley. That was very nice of you to say. You are so nice to those cancer patients" Caroline retorted. I stuck out my tongue.
"Can you at least read it again? But this time read it with feeling" she said sitting on a bar stool beside Henry.
"With feeling?" I questioned pointing my finger at her. Amanda, who was stirring something on the stove, chuckled.
"Yeah, feel what Hazel felt. Feel what Gus felt. Feel what the Author felt" she said seriously not forgetting to glare at Amanda.
"I do not have cancer and I never had cancer" I said sitting on the other side of my brother.
"Well neither do I and I felt it" she said tapping two fingers on her chest.
"You're seven months pregnant. You cried when you watched that commercial" I laughed. Henry stifled a laugh.
"That dog did not see that car coming! You take that back!" Caroline exclaimed across Henry.
"I will not take that back because it's true. Why don't you tell her, Henry" I said folding my arms across my chest and looking expectantly at my brother.
"I...I don't know" he stuttered.
"Babe! You were suppose to cover up for me!" Caroline huffed in annoyance.
"Yeah well she's my little sister, Carry" he said using the name she couldn't resist. He then turned to me.
"And you little sister" he pinched my cheek "my beloved wife is pregnant and she is very emotional so don't irritate her okay?"
"No way! I wasn't even irritating her. She wanted to know what I thought of the book so I told her! And honestly, ever since you fertilised her eggs she's been very unbearable but I dealt with it! So I suggest you keep your beloved wife on a god damn leash!" by the time I was done I was breathing heavily.
Everyone was staring at me by this time. I wasn't known to have such outbursts. I guess they were really surprised.
"What is going on down here?" my mother asked walking in the kitchen.
"Cat fight" answered Amanda stifling a laugh.
"Honey, are you okay?" mom asked Caroline whose face was crimson.
"Yeah I think I just need to lay down" she answered getting up from her seat. She didn't even look at me as she left.
I actually felt really bad. Dad came in soon after and asked the same question mom asked but just to me. I told him I didn't feel well and I needed to take a nap before dinner. And that's exactly what I did.

"Harley " whispered. I groaned and turned on my comforter."Harley" I groaned again. Who in the hell is trying to wake me?!
"Harley!!!"
Caroline.
"What the hell, Carry?" I groaned again.
"It's pass midnight and you haven't eaten" she said sitting on my bed.
"Midnight?" I took my phone out of under my pillow.
00:36
"Yeah, come on. I haven't eaten either" she said getting back up. I got up and slipped on my Winnie the Pooh slippers. I followed her down the hall, down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"You waddle when you walk" I laughed. She turned around and glared at me. I looked down at her feet. I burst out laughing.
"What's wrong now?" she asked me.
"You're wearing penguin slippers" I laughed harder. This was going to be a long three days.•••••
