Chapter five:
You murdered my arm:
It's been fifteen minutes of sexy smiles and small talk. The smiles mostly coming from him. He told me he moved to Canada because he's father expanded his business. He also told me that he's looking to attend my school. That's going to be a disaster.
"Wait. How do you know what school I go to?" I asked curiously.
"Your mom told me" he said innocently. Damn, even innocence looks good on him.
"Oh" I said sipping my latte.
"So, you have a boyfriend, princess?" he asked clearing his throat.
"Urh, nope I don't. I did like this one boy but he likes Alyssa and they're together now. So, I just forgot about him" I said with a grimace.
"That's sad" he said sipping his pumpkin latte.
I nodded.
"And she knew you liked him?" he asked, his eyebrows knitted together.
"No, umm, I never told anyone" I tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear. He nodded in understanding.
"W-what about you? Do you have a girlfriend?" I asked.
"Actually, I do. She's back in Canada. Her name is Sandra" he said. But I noticed the distant look in his eyes.
"Ok" I said not really caring about his girlfriend. He clearly forgot about our little relationship we had before he left even if we were nine years old.
Then, as if on cue, his phone rang. I glanced at his phone. Sandra!
The unbelievable bitch was interrupting our get-together.
"Umm, excuse me" he said. I smiled slightly not wanting to show my sudden off mood.
"Hey babe" he said into the phone "Yeah, my flight was great...Just having coffee with a friend" he winked at me.
I turned crimson at that moment but I couldn't help but smile. He was talking to his girlfriend but winking at me. Even though it was a small gesture, the little dragons in my tummy were going crazy.
"Yeah, I have to go now...Definitely, I'll call you later...Bye" he hung up before smiling at me.
"So, how's your girlfriend doing?" I asked with a bit of sarcasm.
"I'm not telling you" he shook his head.
"Why not?" I smiled gingerly.
"Because I'm here with you and I wanna know how you're doing. I wanna know how your holiday was" he said reaching over to tap my nose.
And the dragons are going crazy again. They're all doing somersaults like circus animals.
"Y-you do?" I asked a little above a whisper.
He chuckled "Yeah, I do".
I smiled and started telling him about my summer with Henry and Amanda and Caroline.
"Who's Caroline?" he asked.
"Oh, she's Henry's wife. He got married about a year and a half ago. She's seven months pregnant" I answered.
"Wow. That's so cool. Just the other day your brother was the biggest player at his school. I always wanted to be like him, ya' know?" he smiled staring off into space as if he was remembering the good old days.
"You wanted to be a fuck boy?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, you can call it that. If you want to be blunt about it" he said laughing. He's laugh was like music to my ears and apparently the dragons like 'em too.
