Son Of Mabin (On Haitus)

Prologue

In the beginning there was Gaia, also known as Mother Nature, and Mors. They became great companions, keeping each other company in the day and watching over each other by night. They laughed, they fought, they made up and they talked. Eventually Gaia wished for more company, for more people to share moments with therefore she created this world we live in today and gave the people who walk amongst you the breath of life. It is she who created the skies and filled it with birds and it is she who filled the oceans and gave it to the deep sea creatures. Mors intrigued by life attempted to recreate his own form of life from replicas of Gaia's creations but he corrupted life and created Death, the shadows and the creatures that lived within those shadows, empty shells of the people they were once before. The people, fearing the darkness and its spawn grouped up and begun to roam around in convoys under the protection of Gaia. Roaming the land as if they settled in one spot the darkness would surely overcome them.

She gave birth and raised four children, Mabin, Nocturne, Alyssa and Aqua, each child with a separate power obtained from Gaia. In Mabin there ran Lux and he became a lamp for the people of Gaia in the dark nights, keeping the darkness at bay with his powers he led the people to safety as night approached the land Gaia created, Nocturne was enshrouded in shadows and he was a protector of the people, living in the shadows he protected them from the creatures of the dark that attacked the people. He worked mostly at night and by day was seen interacting with the people if he was not resting. He protected untarnished souls as well as the people of the convoys leading the lost to his brothers light.

Aqua was a healer and a genius who created medicines that cured almost every ailment that struck the people. It is she who was a doctor to the people and kept her sister calm and cooled her down. Alyssa gave the people fire. The fire to cook the food, the fire to warm, the fire to move, the fire to fight on, the fire to live. She was the living embodiment of passion and flare and often needed her sister Aqua to calm her.

To the people Mabin was The Child of Light and Nocturne the Child of Darkness. Alyssa the Burning Queen and Aqua the Soul of Calm Waters. Gaia watched over them all, a mother protective of her brood. But it drained her life to have created everything and giving birth to her children drained her of her energy and her powers begun to dwindle out, her rests became longer.

As the time passed she grew weaker, her children began to bicker with one another. Mabin's light became too bright for his brother Nocturne and Mabin suspected Nocturne of commanding the creatures of the dark. Aqua wanted her privacy to conduct research and experiments and Alyssa wished to explore the world on her own, a spark of adventure lit in her by the constant prattling of the people. The people saw the beauties and wonders left behind on the land, they spoke of nights where the skies were lit up with colours that danced across the skyline. They spoke of trees three times taller than the giraffes and their necks. They spoke of wild animals never seen before during the day only at night and this fancied Alyssa too much. She wished to explore the world from dawn right into the next night. And so she begun to plan how to escape from her mother's convoy to explore the lands and see the unknown wonders, to conquer the unknown.

From the people within her mother's envoy she picked five to accompany her who were just as excited to roam the lands and on one night as the envoys took camp she snuck out of the envoy along with her comrades into the unknown. With them they took three Mares. Nocturne who was watching all of this informed his brother and sister about Alyssa's leave. Mabin knew in order to avoid panic among the people the problem must have been settled with discreetly. Taking a risk they left the envoys unprotected riding their two stallions into the night after their sister.

When Dawn came the first to wake were the ones who found them returning from their perilous journey, on two stallions and one Mare, the evidence of battle clear from their blood stained clothes. Eventually the people in Gaia's envoy noticed that three youths were missing from their envoy, out of the five that snuck out with Alyssa only two returned, one with a bandage covering his eye, Hannes, the other rode with Alyssa wounded fatally but breathing, Lana. The four children of Gaia, bruised all over, made a vow amongst themselves and with the two survivors to never disclose the events of their adventure. After their adventure the darkness of Mors seemed to withdraw from the world for a while.

Lana recovered and she never left Alyssa's side from the moment she was able to walk, Hannes had lost sight in his right eye and covered it with and eye patch but he recovered from the memories of the incident and became close friends with Nocturne.

Using the last of her dwindling powers, Gaia initiated the last phase of her plans and created four realms, one for each child to rule over, to protect her people from Mors' darkness should it come back to the world. Alyssa along with Lana took to Ignis, the realm of Fire, and took with her some people from the envoys to protect them in Ignis and rule over them aided by Lana. Mabin took to Civitas Levi along with the people from the envoys who wished to live under his rule. The healers followed Aqua to Oceanum along with the researchers that aided Aqua in her researching and became the Oceanians. Nocturne followed by his friend Hannes went into Tenebrae followed by few people, ever since coming back Nocturne was a different man. Those who remained with Gaia named the land Terra and Gaia, liking the name, named Terra her realm.

As she begun to rest more she called upon her children and told them to protect the people as they'd protect themselves and their own. She had given them enough guidance on how to use their abilities and now she was going to leave them to protect the people and the worlds she had created. With this done she closed her eyes and entered into a deep state of slumber. The Children of Gaia then decided that Terra would be a sacred ground to be protected by all of them. It became a point where the people of different realms would come together and live in peace.

But not for long it seems.
