Chapter Two: Superfruit

For the past two years, I've forgotten all about Superfruit. But Carmen reminded me, "Hey, Superfruit is tweeting you!" She called throughout the house. I took off my headphones and paused the game. I would edit this out later. "Really?" I minimized the game and got onto Twitter. Sure enough in the midst of it all there was,

"We're a big fan of you, how about you guest star on Superfruit next week?! :D"

My hand flew up to my mouth and I covered it. Carmen laughed at my reaction. "You better say yes." She grinned. I was still frozen. She moved my chair aside and typed, "Sure! I'd love to, I'm a big fan of you guys!!" She sat back on the balls of her feet and smiled at me victoriously. "You're not backing out of this." She poked my chest. "Um... Carmen, you do realize I don't show my face on my channel for a reason, how am I supposed to go on Superfruit and do it?" She frowned. "Man up."

"But I am not a man!" I pouted. Carmen looked me dead in the eyes. "I know it is your dream to meet them. They don't stay in Los Angeles very often, if at all. This is your chance, please consider it Chelsea!" I nodded. "I'll never forgive you."

"Oh shut up. You love me." My phone buzzed in my pocket.

"Are you still recording?" Ian Hecox texted me. I responded with a brief, "No." He asked me if I wanted to go to downtown Starbucks with him and Anthony, and I didn't have the heart to decline. I quickly phoned Tyler Oakley, knowing he was on Superfruit once.

"Erm, hello? Chels, why are you calling me? You usually text me..."

"I have something to tell you. I'm going to be on Superfruit... and I want to know how it was..."

"Oh, well the boys are very sweet, you have nothing to worry about. They won't hit on you or anything if you're worried about that."

"Oh, I'm not worried about that. It's just... I've never shown my face on camera for my fans. I'm worried that they'll judge me if they see the Superfruit video..."

"They have nothing to judge. You're beautiful. Don't let them get to you or I'll murder them." He chuckled.

"Thanks Tyler, I'm off to meet Ianthony." I joked.

"Tell them I said hi, especially Ian." He joked.

"Buh-bye!"  I hung up. Carmen smiled at me. "Too bad he's gay. You'd be perfect. Balancing eachother."

"Being gay gives him a wonderful personality. He just wouldn't be Tyler. He'd be more like Sawyer or something. Not that I have something against Sawyer." I smiled. "Sure you don't." She giggled. "What day is it?" She looked at me funny. "Miss YouTuber, it's Thursday." I looked towards my computer, "Maybe I should ask them when it's good to film."

"Go get ready for Smosh. I'll ask them. Is it okay if I give them your number so they can text the details?" I nodded while I slipped on my converse. "Go right ahead." I grabbed 10 dollars and jogged outside the door. I jogged to the Starbucks. It was only a mile away. I needed the exercise anyways.

-------------------------------------------------------

Ian was standing near the entrance yelling at Anthony. "Come on! You didn't bring any money?" Anthony shrugged. "I'm sorry that we BOTH forgot our wallets." He glared. I slowed down and tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. "Hey guys!" I said breathless. They both looked up and Ian became a bright shade of crimson. "Why did you run? We could've given you a ride."

"No, I needed the exercise anyways."

"No, you don't." Anthony mumbled. "What?" I mocked. He shook his head. "Nothing. Come on, get your ass inside. It's kind of chilly." He smiled. We walked into the store and found a table. "Lemme get the coffee. I brought enough money for all of us." I smiled and walked towards the counter. In front of me was a tall man, staring at the menu still making a decision. "Go right ahead, I'm still deciding for me and my roommate." The voice was so familiar. "Excuse me." I wanted him to look at me. I wanted to see if it was really who I thought it was. He looked at me, an eyebrow raised. "I said you could go ahead of me." My heart caught in my throat as I stared at him. I cleared my throat and I awkwardly held out my hand. "I'm Chelsea... you tweeted me this morning about Superfruit." It sounded lame. Scott didn't recognize me. "Are you really? I'm sorry, but I don't know what she looks like so..." He trailed off, giving me a sympathetic smile. I hung my head dejectedly. I knew that would bite me in the ass someday." I pushed past him and ordered our drinks.

When I got back to the table, I gave them their drinks and plopped in my chair a little to hard. "Woah there. Why are you in such a bad mood all of the sudden. Was it because of that man up there?"

"Leave 'em alone. He tweeted me about making a video this morning and he doesn't reconize me because I don't show my face. It's my right whether I want to or not."

"Woah, hot stuff. We weren't questioning you." Ian held his hands up. I sighed. "I'm sorry. I knew that would bite me in the ass anyways. I just didn't expect it to happen today." I swirled the whip cream around in my iced latte. It became a gross looking texture, and I looked back at the man. He was sitting at a table with no other than Mitch Grassi himself. I stomped down the urge to go up to them. They wouldn't recognize me anyways. A couple of teenagers squealed and ran over to them. "Oh my god! Chelslilly is so lucky to be filming with you! I'm so jealous!" At the mention of my username, Scott's eyes flickered over to mine. I looked down, pretending to study a napkin. Ian was murmuring to Anthony, while occasionally glancing at me.

"Tyler said hi by the way." I broke the silence. Ian seemed surprised. "Oh really, still talking to Tyler?" I nodded. "He's been really supportive lately." Ian smiled. "That's good. You seem like you need as much support as possible." Anthony didn't say anything. "How's Kalel?" I smiled. He perked up instantly, "She's great. We might be going to Japan soon. I'm thinking of proposing to her there." He beamed with pride. "Nice. I won't say a thing." I promised. I risked a glance at Scott. He was still talking to the teenagers. "So do you know what Chelslilly looks like? So I can get a heads up and recognize her?"

"Sure! Well she has black wavy hair..." She ticked off. Scott looked at me again. He nodded. "Go on."

"Pale skin I think, Dorthy, didn't she have pale skin?" He kept his eyes on me. "Keep going."

"I heard she has these really pretty golden brown eyes. She posted a few pictures on Twitter once. But then she took them down when these really rude girls were bashing on her. It's a shame really. She's so gorgeous. I'm jealous!" I knew he couldn't get a good enough look at my eyes to see if it was me. But a fan's description didn't seem to change his mind one bit. "Thanks girls." He looked away and whispered something to Mitch. I half expected him to turn around and look at me, but he didn't. "Maybe we should go. You seem distracted." He helped me up even though I didn't need it and led me out the door. "Wait a minute!" Someone called behind us as we walked out the door. We thought it was a Smosh lunatic so we kept walking. "Wait, Chels!" I involuntarily looked behind me and came face to face with Scott Hoying.
