I just put bacon on the pan when the doorbell rang. Scott stood there, clad in jeans and a t-shirt. "Mitch is out with Kirstie today. I figured I'd come over here and just hang out."
"That's fine with me." I walked back to the kitchen. "Did you eat yet?"
"No, what are you making?" Like a little kid, he excitedly followed me into the kitchen. "Just a simple breakfast, sausage and bacon." He snatched a piece of cooked bacon from my plate. "Mine," he laughed. He walked into the living room and plopped down on my couch. His shoes went onto the opposite armrest. "You're too tall for my couch Hoying."
"I'm usually too tall for anything," he sighed. He swung his feet off the couch cushion and walked over to me. He leaned on the counter and assessed me as I nibbled on a piece of bacon. "Not for me," I teased.
"Would you care to go somewhere with me today?"
"I'd love to." Scott's smile was way too innocent. I grinned happily. "Scott? Have you ever played Slender?"

"Oh my god he's coming after me!" Scott screamed. He threw the mouse up into the air. He tore his headphones off and slammed them onto the desk. I laughed and caught the mouse, putting the headphones on. The thundering continued louder and I began to move. "Scott! You were walking to a fence! You trapped me!" I slowly turned the camera around and saw nothing. No sudden sounds of music or static. The thundering was still there though, and I began to move. Scott nudged his way into the camera with me.
"Do you think they will mind me being in this gameplay?"
"Probably not. I'll edit this part out," Scott's eyes were trained on the screen. The thundering sounded but he couldn't hear it.
"Look behind you," he whispered. "No! Are you crazy?"
"Do it." I groaned and turned the camera around. No one. "I think it is bugged," I turned it back around and the sound went off. Static overflowed my headphones and I screamed. Scott doubled over laughing and tried to comfort me, but it's kind of hard to comfort someone while laughing at them.
"You should have seen your face! It was priceless!" I smacked his chest. "Atleast I'm not the man that squealed like a little kid!" I turned off the camera and ended the recording. I swung around in the chair, my chest still heaving. "Oh god. That's the last time I play a scary game with you," he pinched my cheeks. I swiped his hand away. "I thought it would be funny. Maybe you can talk Mitch into playing it."
"He wouldn't do it. One mention of scares and he --" The door opened, cutting him off. A blonde head peeked in. Scott immediately blocked my view with his back. "Scott? Who is it?" I braced my hands on his shoulders to try to get him to move. He didn't. "You shouldn't be here."
"I need to talk to Chels. It's ... It's important that I apologize." I recognized her voice. "Carmen?" Her face was flushed and she crossed her arms over her torso. "Chels, hear me out!" I shook my head. "Not now. I'm on a date."
"You call that a date?" Scott whispered to me. I laughed and smacked him again. He pulled me closer. "Oh. I see you two got together. I'm sure Ian is pleased. Have you told him?"
"No, and you know why," I glared. "Well why don't I call him and tell him for you?"
"Go ahead. It won't make what you did any better."
"Or maybe I'll tell Mickey. She'll be --"
"First you were apologizing and now you are insulting her? What's wrong with you?" Scott interrupted her. He stepped forward and pushed her out of my office, mumbling to her along the way. The front door slammed shut and locked. He came back with a sour look on his face. "I'm sorry about that --"
"You didn't know that she was coming. It's alright." Scott pulled me into a hug and twirled me around. "Let's get some dinner." He smiled and leaned towards me. His phone went off and I pulled away.
"Hello?" He looked towards me. "No, you didn't call at a bad time." He paused. "Yeah, that was sarcasm." He began to pace, muttering 'mhm's and 'yeah's. He glanced towards me with a look of apology. "I'll be there soon." He hung up with a goodbye and he grabbed my hands. "I need to go to practice. I'll see you soon. Okay?" He kissed my forehead and left the house.

I stood in that same place after awhile. I guess I was waiting for an excuse to move. My Skype call went off and I answered it, stupidly thinking it was Scott. My mother's face appeared on the screen.
"Hey doll!" She slurred. I narrowed my eyes. "Mom, why are you drunk while Skyping me?"
"I heard from Carmen that you have a new man in your life. Care to explain why you didn't tell me?"
"It's simple. I don't want you to embarrass me."
"Carmen told me you wanted to introduce us. I want you two to be here for dinner at 5 tomorrow okay?"
"But Mom --"
"Bye dear!" She blew kisses to the screen and ended the call. I groaned and slumped back in my chair. I stared around the room. I retrieved the phone from my pocket and sent Scott a text.
"Hope you don't have any plans tomorrow. My parents want to meet you and I want them to meet you too according to Carmen. Keep your schedule open for me. 5 o'clock. Chels "
I sighed and pushed my chair away from the desk. I looked online to look up free horror games. I needed something to pass the time.
