I threw my phone into my pocket and slumped on the couch next to Scott. I sighed, burying my head into my hands. Scott laid his hand on my knee, rubbing it gently. "What's wrong now?"
"Ian wants another chance. I don't think I can be with anyone right now." Scott nodded, not saying anything. "How about, to keep your mind off of things you hang out with Mitch and I tomorrow?" I grinned, "That sounds awesome!" Scott smiled. "Good, anything to help you."
~
Scott went home early that night. He told me he wanted to give me some space. I kept getting calls and texts from Carmen, but I ignored them. Instead of being less frequent, they increased. I had to put my phone on silent, increasing the risk of missing important calls.
Carmen simply wouldn't get the hint that I was ticked off at her. She doesn't get it, when a woman is pissed off, you leave her alone. I fell asleep to Scott's sweet voice singing around my room. I bought the albums recently, and falling asleep to Valentine was a lot easier.
~
I woke up around noon, feeling rested and happy. I pulled out a t-shirt and shorts out of my closet. While I hopped around, struggling to get my shorts on, I looked for my shoes. I settled to ballerina flats when I couldn't find anything decent.
I stuffed a waffle in my mouth and grabbed my keys to the car. I muched on the waffle, catching it when it almost fell out of my mouth and onto the concrete. I put the key into the ignition and drove away, hoping the address that Scott gave me last night was correct.
~
I stopped outside a white house on what looked like an abandoned street. I stuffed the address in my pocket, guarding it like a hawk incase it fell out. Many girls would kill for this address. I laughed to myself at the thought of Scott opening the door to find squealing teenage girls wanting to get inside.
The front door was open a small bit, and I smiled to myself. Whether it was for me or not, I still went in. I laid my bag down on the floor by the door, looking around.
It wasn't that big, but it wasn't small either. It was a perfect house for two men living together. I heard laughing in the other room, and quiet, "Cut! Redo! Stop laughing!" Then the talking ceased. I wandered around the house until I caught sight of Scott's shirt. A camera was in front of me, and arms were wrapped around his neck.
My eyes widened as I stood there, shocked. Why was Scott filming this? Did he have some sort of fetish? I jumped when Mitch said, "Okay. This is long enough, we're going to end up making it very awkward." Scott pulled away laughing and turned towards the camera, freezing when he saw I was there watching. His cheeks turned pink and he began to rub the back of his neck. "Um..." he began.
Mitch simply didn't care and pranced over to the camera, cutting it off and reviewing the footage. Scott still stood there. "I didn't expect you this early."
"Did I come at the wrong time? I guess I could step out for a few hours while you make out with Mitch..." Mitch laughed and said in a diva voice, "He loved it!" Mitch and I burst out laughing, while Scott was still confused. "I'm kidding. I can leave if I caught you at a bad time."
"You're fine. We didn't do much, did we Scott?" Mitch smiled at Scott. "Oh shut up, it's for Superfruit. We read a fan-fiction."
"That's normal," I mocked. Scott grinned. "It is for us. We want to know what people think about us. Appearently they think we are in a relationship and enjoy sex in our spare time."
"Duh. We do," Mitch joked. "I knew it!" Scott nudged Mitch playfully. "She knows now. Good job."
"I assumed it from the start. It isn't that hard to see." Scott laughed. "Let's go get some lunch." He pulled us into his car. "Don't damage my baby!" I watched as Scott carefully backed out of the driveway, not getting a scratch on my car. We drove to a nearby McDonalds and sat down in a booth.
"So, Chels. How long have you lived in Los Angeles?"
"Actually quite a long time. I moved here when I was 18. Fresh out of highschool."
"How old are you now?"
"As if Scott didn't tell you. 21."
"Good. I can give you some chardonnay later if you want." I smiled at Mitch. "I like Chardonnay."
"She's a keeper!" Mitch whispered loudly to Scott. I laughed, though it came out as an annoying giggle, and sipped on my sweet tea. "What do you want?" Scott stood up to order for us. "Oh, I want a chicken ranch wrap!" I exclaimed happily. Scott went up to the counter and began to order.
"Do you like Scott?" Mitch asked out of no where. "Of course I like Scott, why else would I be here with you?"
"No... like as in... " Mitch made a small heart with his hands. "Oh!" I blushed pink. "Uhh... yeah. I do." Mitch's face lit up with happiness. "Good. I don't want you leading him on if you didn't."
"Wait, he likes me?" The words came out a bit too loudly. Scott glanced at us with a confused look. He turned back to the server. "You two are really blind. You both obviously like eachother and neither one of you realized it."
"Oh, shut up. Just don't tell him. I want him to realize it himself. It's just not special if they already know..."
"Whatever! Here he comes. Act normal." Of course, when someone tells you to act normal, you concentrate so hard that whatever you do is abnormal. I shot a look at Mitch. He giggled while trying to bite into his food. "Strange. I didn't know men giggled."
"I'm not a man. I'm a little girl at heart."
"I agree."
~
Scott insisted on sitting in the back with me. I don't know why, but I bet Mitch put him up to it. Mitch drove us around town until we came to a park. "Let's take some selfies!" he squealed. I narrowed my eyes. "Let's not. I'll go buy some bread for the ducks."
"But..."
"You two can take a selfie. I'll be back." I stole the change out of Scott's pockets. "Hey!" He tried to tackle me to get the money back, but I dashed away, running towards the store.
~
I jogged back to the park to see Mitch and Scott whispering. I snuck up behind them and listened. "So, did she tell you?"
"No. She didn't tell me."
"Who didn't tell you?" I cut in. Scott jumped. "Oh, nothing. It's about time you came back!" I shot Mitch a look. "You're telling me later," I mouthed. Mitch smirked. "Give me the bread."
"You'll have to ask nicely."
"Give me the bread. Please," he forced out. "Nope." I walked to the edge of the rocks and tore a piece of bread off. Mitch tried to snatch the bag of bread from my hands, but I had a death grip.
"Step aside Mitch. It's all about strategy." I turned to see only Mitch standing there. "Where's Scott?"
"I dunno." Scott jumped me from behind and began tickling me. "No! Don't!" I squealed. The bag fell from my hands onto the rocks. "Mitch! Quick! Get the bread!" Mitch scattered beneath my feet and came up with the bread. "Yes! Success!" He began to tear off pieces of bread. Scott ran over to him, leaving me on the ground, gasping for air. I got up by myself and watched them fight over a piece of bread, spilling the bread onto the ground in the process. I smiled at the ducks as they waddled past them, snatching the bread with their bills.
The bag went flying into the water. Scott began to wade out into the pond for the bag. He squealed once or twice.
Those cheeky ducks.
Mitch laughed at Scott while he got the bag. He ran back, avoiding as many ducks as possible. He came out of the water, completely drenched and covered in algae. "This... is a new look for you," I told him honestly. "Shut up," he whined.
