Wake Up

Lucas P.O.V.

It's been a little over a week since I found out about Maya. The moment I found out I was so excited. I'm going to be a father! I know Maya is scared, and I am too. But I know we'll get through it like we always do. We're Lucas and Maya! We told our parents the other day. It went better than I thought.

Of course they were disappointed, but they support us with whatever we do. They know she is keeping it, it wasn't even a thought for her not to. I love her so much.

I know we're going to have to figure out a place to live once the baby comes. We'll cross that bridge once we get there though.

She's only eight weeks along so that won't be a problem.

In a month we graduate, so there's no point in the whole school knowing about her situation. That would just put more stress on her, which isn't good for the baby.

I honestly have no idea what we are going to do after high school. But I know everything will be fine. As long as I have her by my side. She's everything to me.

Right now we're in class listening to Mr.Matthews lecture us about something. He's supposed to be the history teacher, but he never really seems to teach history.

As he's talking I tune him out cause I've heard all of his lectures before.

I hear something in the room. At first I can't make out was it is. But then I realize it's Maya. She's sleeping. She looks so cute. She's been really tired lately. I can imagine why. It must be hard growing another human inside you. 

Mr. Matthews clearly sees that she's asleep in class. But he knows everything so he let's it slide. And it's not like its anything new from her. His lectures bore her to death.

C-"Ok, so for homework tonight I just you all to read the next chapter. I have to at least pretend I'm teaching you guys history."

*bell rings*

C-"Well have a good night all of you."

Everyone starts to leave. I start to get up then Mr. Matthews walks over to me.

C-"I'll give you guys some alone time. And I also want to go home. Just lock the door on your way out."

I nod and then he walks out. 

Time for the hard part.

L-"Mayaaaa"

Nothing.

L-"Babe, it's time to wake up"

She moves around a little and then opens those beautiful eyes of hers.

M-"Oh hi my handsome boyfriend you."

She grabs me and wraps her arms around my neck, kissing me on the lips then all over.

Did I mention that she's been really clingy and emotional lately? Stupid hormones. But I gotta admit, I kinda like it.

M-"I love you so so so so much. And this baby is gonna love you almost as much, but not as much as me cause no one loves you more."

Ok seriously, this is not like her. It's definitely the hormones.

She finally gets up out of her seat. She starts to grab her books but I stop her.

L-"Uh I don't think so. I will be carrying those while you are carrying that"

I eye her stomach.

M-"Oh come on Huckleberry, it's only my books."

I don't want her lifting anything heavy. She could hurt her or the baby and I'm not risking that happening.

L-"Nope. Hand them over."

It takes her a moment, but then she finally gives in and hands the books over.

We walk out of the classroom and go to our lockers. I grab my bookbag and walk over to Maya's locker. I can't believe she is about to carry her bag. It weighs like 10 pounds with all her books in it!

L-"Step away from the bag Ms.Hart! You've been caught."

M-"Ugh I seriously thought I was gonna get away with it that time."

She hands me her bag.

L-"Can't fool me that easily, babe."

M-"But I can tease you"

Oh no. She's right about that. I notice her hands traveling up my chest trying to lift my shirt up."

L-"Maya, we're in the hallway. Not here."

But she doesn't stop. Somehow she finds her way under my shirt and kisses all over my neck. I really want to touch her but she's got me unable to move since I have both of our heavy bags in my arms. She's smart I'll give her that. 

After awhile she stops, but only to run to the bathroom.

I drop the bags and run after her. I know it's the girls bathroom but I don't care and it's after hours. Not like anyone is gonna catch me.

I open the door to reveal her hunched over the toilet.

I race towards the ground holding her hair back and rubbing her back.

After a few minutes she gets up and rinses her mouth.

L-"You okay?"

M-"Yeah. Just a symptom of pregnancy. But it's good cause it means there's a baby in there."

I put my hand to her stomach. I notice she smiles.

When my hand is on her stomach I notice she's started to get a small bump. I guess I've never really noticed because it doesn't show under her clothes.

I start to lift her shirt up.

M-"Ranger Rick what are you doing?" she giggles

I lift her shirt up all the way and see her growing bump. This is the first time I see it and let me just tell you, she looks so sexy right now.

L-"I like you pregnant."

I admire her body because she looks so beautiful.

M-"Oh yeah? You like what you see babe?"

L-"Mmmhmmm"

I start to kiss her stomach and then move up to her chest, neck, and then finally meet her lips. We start to make out. Let's just say I got home late last night.
