Last night was not the best.

I went over to Riley's for family game night.

I didn't know Maya was going to be there.

It was ok at first.

Me and Riley played together.

I guess we're together now.

We went on a date earlier. 

It was better than last time. We actually talked.

I think we will be good together this time around.

Anyways, back to last night.

It was going good until Josh showed up.

He tried to join in and I told him we already had teams.

But then Farkle played with Auggie. So that meant Josh and Maya were together.

She called him Uncle Boing?

I think she likes him. So it was true about her never liking me.

If you think I'm jealous your wrong.

I like Riley. We're together.

We're happy.

Right now I'm on my way to the Matthews ski lodge.

They invited us all for winter break.

I'm excited.

Riley will be there, so we'll get to hang out all the time!

I just hope he's not there.

1 hour later

After what seems like forever, I finally arrive at the ski lodge.

Wow. The scenery here is so beautiful! Nothing like Texas.

But it's so cold. 

Right when I step outside my body temperature drops.

I take my bags out of the car and wave goodbye to my mom.

I wonder if Riley is here yet.

R- "Lucas!"

L- "Riley! Hey princess!"

That's my nickname for her.

R- "Why hello my knight in shining armor."

We both lean in to kiss, until we're stopped by Mr. Matthews.

C- "Riley, just because I let your boyfriend come does not mean I will let you kiss him."

We both laugh.

Dang. I really wanted to kiss her.

We haven't kissed since the subway.

It was getting cold so we decided to go inside.

I see Maya when I walk in and....

Him.

M- "Hey cowboy. You gonna be alright staying up here? It's nothing like your sundancing hometown."

She was making fun of me. I like when she does that.

R- "Maaya."

Apparently Riley does not.

L- "It's ok, she doesn't bother me."

M- "I will never get to you will I?"

L- "Nope, but I appreciate the effort."

M- "Oooooo."

Ha ha. I love it when she does that. I f only she did the huh-hurrrr.

That was my favorite.

J- "Hey Lucas."

Oh great. Not him again.

L- "Oh sorry, didn't notice you while Maya and I were talking."

J- "Oh it's okay buddy."

Buddy? Since when did I become his buddy? We're not buddies.

R- "Joshie!"

J- "Riley I just saw you 5 minutes ago." laughing

R- "Oh yeahhhh. I forgot. hehehe."

She is such an airhead. But that's what I like about her.

J- "So I heard your dating my niece."

I noticed Maya suddenly looked away at me when he said that. Hmm.

L- "Uh yeah. We just started dating."

J- "Don't break her heart" serious

Eee. That kinda scared me. He got all serious.

J- "I'm just messing with ya kid! I know you would never hurt her man."

Kid? I'm not a kid. I'm a man!

Well almost, 2 more years to go.

L- "So are you and Maya together?"

What? I was curious.

J- "As a matter of fact we are."

What? That was quick! What happened to the whole age difference thing?

L- "What happened to the 3 years difference thing?"

J- "Age doesn't matter man. And she's just so amazing. How could you not like her?"

You can't.

L- "Well I'm happy for you guys."

J- "Thanks man, same to you and Riley."

Well looks like everyone has somebody. What else is there to figure out?
