My eyes flashed open and I realised I was crouched in the corner of one of the hallways at the school. Grian and Taurtis were sitting right beside me. Kiyu stood a metre away, with concern across her features. I focussed my eyes back to my anchors. There was support and worry in their eyes. "I'm okay." I whispered. "One day, everything will be okay."

Kiyu hesitantly approached the three of us, huddled in the corner. Grian and Taurtis saw through my act. They both claimed I wasn't okay and proceeded to squash me in their arms. Although I knew I would face the consequences of the entire school seeing this display, I was grateful for my anchors. "Sam? Sammy? Are you okay?" Her voice was soft. If it had a physically representation it would be a fluffy pillow. Very soft.
"Y-yeah. I'm cool." Her eyes were filling with tears, obviously very concerned for me. I turned my attention back to my best friends and cleared my throat. "Yeah guys, I'm fine. You can let go now." I tried putting a confident edge back into my tone. I suppose it kinda worked. They saw through it, but they still let go and Taurtis pulled me up with him.
"Thanks mate. So, Kiyu. The guidance counsellor's office? That's where our schedules are right?" She looked surprised. As if she was expecting me to break down again. Which I refuse to do. I won't let her win. Kiyu blinked back her tears and nodded. Her over-the-top-smile plastered back on her face. "Yes, the guidance counsellor. These way." She turned her back on us and skipped down the corridor.

It felt like such a long walk to the office, considering Grian and Taurtis both hovered right next to me. Not to mention everyone else was staring at me and whispering. I tried telling myself it wasn't me or my...my flashback that they were gossiping about but I knew it was the worst lie I've ever told myself.
"Here it is. But word of advice, I hope you can handle yourself." Kiyu warned before patting me gently on the back and skipping through the courtyard.

"Before we go in, Sam what happened?" Grian asked, putting himself in front of the door so I couldn't escape him.
"Just another pesky flashback. I'm fine guys." I tried to push Grian into the office but he wouldn't budge.
"We gathered it was a flashback, but what triggered it?" Taurtis questioned, his hand touching my arm. I know it was he way of showing comfort but I had to shake him off. I didn't want comfort, I wanted to forget and pretend it never happened.
"It's stupid, okay. Kiyu smiled and she already looks so much like...like-like her. And Kiyu's smile is almost the same as when she was...was-was...Can we let it go please?" I begged, blinking rapidly in an attempt to stop myself from crying.
"Of course Sam. It's just that you hadn't had any flashbacks in weeks, we-" I cut Grian off.
"Though I was getting better. I know. I thought so too." And with that, I subtly pushed Grian away from the door and knocked.

"Come in!" The reply came quick and fast. I walked in first, followed by Grian and Taurtis. The office hardly looked like an office at all. It had a wall lined with book shelves with a poster in the middle and the other walls were bare. There was a desk and computer in the centre of the room with, who I assume to be, the guidance counsellor sitting at the desk.
"Hello boys!" The guidance counsellor greeted. We all chimed a hello back as we walked right up to his desk. "You must be the new students." He observed.
"Uh yes we are. I'm Grian, this is Taurtis and that's Sam. We're here for our school schedules."
"Ah yes, schedules. What do you guys think of wrestling?"
"What a weird question? Um I think it's kinda cool, I suppose." Taurtis answered, confusion written all over his face. His eyes drifted down to the desk. "Senor Loro? Is that your name? Sounds like a Mexican wrestler?"
"Hahaha!" Senor Loro replied and suddenly the floor fell out from under us. Fear rose up my spine and I was frozen. Were we about to die? Is this it? The end? I screamed a little, but so did Taurtis and Grian.

"Woah!" I cried as suddenly we were bounced back up. Once we landed, I realised we were in a wrestling ring. Senor Loro popped down the ladder on the other side of the room. "If you want you schedules, you'll have to wrestle me for them! Hahaha!" My friends both glanced to me in shock.
"Um okay!?" I answered before Grian and I seemed to team up and push him out of the ring. It took a lot of strong and effort but we did it.
"Yeah, Grian!"
"Teamwork!" We high-fived.
"Yay! You did it!" Taurtis cried and we turned to see him hiding in the corner. Pansy. "You're not the only one who hides in corners Sam." Taurtis joked.
"Hahaha. I like that Gusto. Your schedules are in the chest over there." As Grian moved to get the schedules, Senor Loro turned back to me. "You will do fine here." The next thing I know, he jumped back up the ladder and disappeared.

"Well that was one of the strangest things I've ever had to do." Grian muttered, handing us our class schedules.
"You mean you didn't do that in Great Britian?" Taurtis asked, incredulously. We both laughed and Grian kinda giggled, halfheartedly.
I looked down at my schedule.

1. Teacher Tori - Room 3
2. Dr Nurse MD - Room 6
Lunch
3. Gym Teacher Helena - Room 11
4. Teacher Geode - Room 12

"Okay so, Teacher Tori, room 3? That's first class right?" Grian and Taurtis both agreed. Thank god we were in the same class. "Well I suppose the only way out is up that ladder." I suggested, making my way for the exit.

Kiyu was waiting for us at the top of the ladder with Senor Loro. "So I assume you guys won?" She asked, motioning to the class schedules in our hands.
"Yep!" Taurtis announced, boldly. "It was easy. We had no trouble at all."
"Oh, haha. That's funny Taurtis. I seem to remember you pansying out while Sam and I worked together." Grian pointed out.
"Well your memory might need a check up. Let's go to class!" I just chuckled. Grian looked flabbergasted and Kiyu joined in with my laughter.

"What's your first class?" Kiyu asked as we walked out of the guidance counsellor's office.
"Teacher Tori." Taurtis responded.
"Oh cool, that's the same class I have. Let's go." She grabbed his arm and pulled him away. Although I knew she did it to me earlier and she'll probably do it to Grian later, it looked so much like her taking my best friend away again.

"What are you? WhAt ArE yOU? WHAT ARE YOU?!"
"Broken." I mumbled under my breath. "But getting better."
