"Ano 'to?" tanong ko sa sekretarya ko habang hawak ang isang papel na may lamang sulat.

"Pinabibigay lang po ni Madame, ma'am." sagot nito nang walang kasiguraduhan.

"Ang matandang 'yon, talaga." bulong niya sa sarili. Tinanong pa siya ng sekretarya niya kung ano 'yon sinabi niya. "You're dismissed."

Binasa ko ang nakasulat dito at muntik ko nang malukmos ang papel sa sobrang galit.

Tumutunog ang cellphone ko kaya tiningnan ko kung sino 'yong tumatawag.

"Hey, Brookey. Did you like my surprise?" may halong pang-uuyam sa boses nito. "I bet you loved it." she added, emphasizing the word 'loved'.

"I told you I'll work for the company, not work on the company, old hag." I told her grimly. "And I know well that you know very well."

"Come on, Brookey, there's not a big responsibility for a strong girl like you." she told me and at that moment, I swear, she could pass up for a snake.

"You have no right to call me Brookey, old hag. She's long gone." I told her using the coldest voice I could muster. I paused for a while. "Don't worry, I'll make your life a living hell." I told her mysteriously and cryptically.

Before she could even hang up the phone, I already did. Tinawag ko ang sekretarya ko.

"Call a meeting with the finance department. It's urgent."

Time for hell.

"Ano?!' narinig ko ang malakas na sigaw ni tanda mula sa kwarto ko. I smirked.

"Ahm, ganon na nga po ang nangyayari madame." natatakot na tugon ng head ng finance department.

"Ano ba 'tong nangyayari?" namroroblema na sabi ni tanda.

"Ahm, ano po madame, binawalan na po kayo ng bagong CEO na mag-receive ng shares niyo sa kompanya."

"I know that already." malamig na sagot ng matanda.

"At bawal na din po kayong makaapak sa opisina ni Miss Herera. All properties under your name will be transferred under hers." dagdag imporma ng head.

Huh, that's not the worst I could do.

"Talaga lang, huh. I will file a complaint against your new CEO."

"Uh, ma'am I believe you can't do that."

"And why is that?"

"Kasi po, with all the power she has, it's nothing compared to yours." he paused for a while, as if looking at something. "In this document, it shows that you plundered some of the company's funds and spent money from the company for your own goods. It also shows here that six years ago, you used have of the income to-"

"I. KNOW. THAT. ALREADY." madiin pero mahinang sabi ni tanda.

"But you asked me, madame." naguguluhan namang tugon ng head.

Sinilip ko sila sa sala at nakikita kong halos mahimatay na sa takot ang head ng finance.

"JUST SHUT UP!" malakas na sigaw ni tanda. At this point, tumakbo na palabas ang head ng finance department.

Bumaba na ako mula sa pinto ng kuwarto ko papunta sa sala.

"Hey, mommy. Did you like my surprise?" I mocked her with the words she said to me earlier this morning. "I bet you loved it."

"You!" she gritted her teeth in so much annoyance. "I'll make sure you won't succeed. Sisiguraduhin kong magiging impyerno-"

"Ang buhay ko? Hah!" I gave her a mocking laugh. I waved my point finger in front of her, trying to prove a point. "Nope. 'Wag mong gayahin ang sinabi ko. Be original for once."

I rolled my eyes at her saka bumalik sa kwarto ko. I slept early kasi siguradong maraming aasikasuhin bukas.

"Good morning, ma'am."
"Good morning, Miss CEO."
"Good morning, Madame."

Sunod-subod na bati ng mga empleyado dito sa building. I just nodded my head at them saka dumiretso sa office ko.

"Sec, anong meetings ngayon?" tanong ko sa sekretarya ko.

"Ahn, sa ngayon ma'am wala pa po kayong mga meetings. Pero meron pong isa mamayang hapon." sagot nito habang nakatingin sa schedule ko. "Pero 'di pa po 'yon na confirm."

"Okay." I dismissed her with a wave of my hand.

Halfway through the papers, may kumatok.

"Pasok." Inangat ko ang tingin ko mula sa binabasa kong mga papeles.

"Hey, babe." bungad ni Fetcher sa akin. I scrunched my face in disgust and rolled my eyes at him.

"Don't call me that."

He shrugged. "Anyway, bakit hindi natuloy ang kasal natin?"

"Kasal, agad? It's still an engagement." binalik ko ang tingin ko sa mga papeles na binabasa ko. "And, I stopped it because, first, I'm not into those things, second, that old hag doesn't have power over me anymore."

"Huh, bakit? Anong nangyari kay madame?" naguguluhan nitong tanong sa akin saka umupo sa upuan na nasa harap ko.

"She passed the company over to me 'cause I'm not a minor anymore." I looked up at him to see him confused. I rolled my eyes. "In short, I don't need a legal guardian 'cause I'm an adult myself."

"So, nasaan siya ngayon?"

"In hell."

He looks surprised pero maya-maya ay nakabawi din.

"Ahh." tumango-tango ito. "So, we'll go with the traditional way?"

Now it's my turn to look confused.

"Traditional way? Way sa?"

"Traditional way to make you mine. Manliligaw ako."

Now it's my turn to look surprised.
