"Rise and shine! Miss" Vincent greeted me as soon as I entered the dining room in my office clothes. It was 8:00. Perfect timing.

"well, someone looks very happy today"

"What can i say love?" He shot a smile at me,"I have an interview today. Step one, from getting out of your hair"

I shrugged and poured milk into my cereal bowl. "When's the interview?"

"twelve, why?"

"I could've joined you. As in, would like to give you company. But, I'll be at work then."

Vincent smiled as he pored juice into his glass and sat next to me,"It's okay man". He took a sip,"Jared's agreed to be there with me."

"Okay."

"After that, I'll start shifting some of my stuff to Jared's."

I nodded. My parents would be arriving at LA day after tomorrow.

"Is it just me or does someone look upset?"

"huh?"

"well, someone looks upset" the corner of his lips had curled into a smile. I raised an eyebrow ,"And who is that may I ask?". Vincent shrugged ,"I don't know. A little bird told me that a certain someone named Ashley Knight was upset because someone was leaving". He was leaning on the back of one of the chairs and grinned at me.

"geez Vincent, improve your lines! Anyway, that 'little bird' of yours didn't deliver the right information."

He grinned widened,"You know you liked it!"

"Liked what?"

"The line"

"nope!"

"Then why are your cheeks pink?"

Instantaneously I could feel the color on my cheeks. "They are not!" I crossed my arms and stuck my tongue out.

"Are too" he looked away from me, admiring rest of the room. That stupid smile still sticking onto his face. "No!" I narrowed my eyes at him. "Whatever" I rolled my eyes and hurried to the door,"I'm leaving". I didn't want him to see that it infact did happen to affect me.

"bye" Vincent laughed.

Vincent's pov:

I got into Jared's car. He removed the shades from his eyes and stared at me,"Does she know that we're going to her office's interview?". I nodded a 'no'. "...And is she going to be there at the auditions?". I nodded a 'no', "she said she'd be at work at 12".

"Good, now get in".

It might be modelling auditions, but I kept to the simple clothes on. I hoped they'd be more impressed by my physique than my clothing style.

Assuming that I was no fashionista myself.

We rode on the streets on hollywood boulevard and finally reached the studio were the auditions would take place.

There were more than a 100 other guys present. Some looked like WWE wreatlers, some were lean with good modelling skills it seemed. I and Jared took a seat among the crowd.

"Just remember, look confident" Jared whispered.

I rolled my eyes,"thanks mom"

Choosing to ignore my comment, he raised his eyebrows and gave me his best "seriously?" Look. Then he pointed to a group of people standing outside a door that said "auditions".

"That's where you go in mate. And that is where you're killing it!" His voice full of confidence. I shrugged.

"Are you sure?"

"Am I sure of what?"

"That your plan is going to work AND she won't get mad at me because of all this."

Jared smirked,"Just keep going dude".

Exactly ten minutes later, I got called in.

The room I walked into was bigger then what you could've imagined from outside. It had a huge green screen and many people working on the lighting. A table lay right in front of me, with three seated people. A lady, with pink hair and neatly buttoned down blue pant-suit, a man in absolute casuals, and a blonde woman in a red dress.

"Hello, Vincent" the lady in blue smiled.

"hello" I smiled back.

Rule one: Look confident. Check.

Then I noticed him. He stood at the back of the room with two other suited people, his brown eyes staring at me. I held back a sudden surge of anger. James.

"So, what do you do?" I woman in red asked. I cleared my throat, "I was in a software company in New York, left it to find work over here in LA"

"I really like that casualness though" the lady in blue spoke.

The others nodded.

"Okay, Vincent, we would like you to stand in front of the green screen and do as the camera man tells you to" the man in between them said. I nodded and moved towards the green screen.

The man in charge of the camera asked me to take off my shirt (I ain't bragging but the girls did squeak at that), and sit on a chair with something he called a 'manly look'. I had no idea what he really meant, so he had to show it to me, and and so I did. However, from the corner of my eyes, I saw James speaking to one of the judges at the table. A few clicks and murmurs later, I went back to putting my shirt back on.

"Thank you, you may leave. We'll contact you by the 14th" I nodded and left the place.

"How'd it go bro?" Jared asked as soon as he saw me.

"I have no idea."
