Titans discovered!

It was graduation day, finally everyone could choose what they wanted to apply for. In your case it was clear, the survey corps, just like your friends. Reiner also chose the survey corps, his choice made you really happy since you could spend more time with him. From your first conversation until now many things have changed, you build up a bond that was really strong, he shared a lot of private things with you but you never told him the truth about yourself.

Everyone moved to the new barracks and you were put in the same room as Sasha, Ymir, Mikasa and Christa. You were happy that most of your friends decided to join the survey corps, it would be much more endurable like this.

Today was your first expedition outside the walls, once the heavy stone gate opened your eyes started sparkling, finally you were able to see a glimpse of the outside world. Your horse quickly gained speed and sided with Armin, both of you gazed up on the view, it was breath taking. Your troops soon separated into smaller groups that each took their own path to make it easier to spot any nearby titans. You were in the same group as Armin and called out to Mikasa and Eren who took another way to be careful. Soon everyone was out of sight and the expedition began, you kept close attention to your surroundings since you never knew when a titan would show up. You left hand was always holding on to the signal flair incase you noticed some movements. It was really quiet on your way through the forest, almost to quiet. Soon you noticed something moving in between the trees and grabbed the signal flair firing a red light into the air to let the others know that in this area titans where spot.

You again entered a titan free territory which left both of you feel unsecure, this was strange, why weren't here any titans around?

You both stopped your horses and you looked around at the flat land that offered no hiding spots for any titans, it was just small bushes and stones as far as your eyes could see.

"Armin... doesn't that seem strange that we haven't encountered any titans yet? The smaller group from before where the only ones we've seen so far" Armin agreed with you and sided with your horse

"You are right, this sure is strange... I though the outside walls were floated with titans but this place seem to be just as calm as the inside walls..." you swallowed and took another look around

"This only appears to be a quiet place, I am pretty sure if we let down our guard they will surround us in an instant" Armin nodded and started galloping slowly

"In this case let's move, if we stay on the same spot we might be in even greater danger" you nodded and followed his horse that took the lead, the other scouts in your group had gone ahead a little bit.

Shortly after you moved again a small group of titans approached, the scouts immediately moved out to defeat them but suddenly something else appeared, the ground began to shake a little and you turned around

"D-Do you feel that??" you asked trying to control your fear

"Yes... it feels like the earth is shaking" your eyes scanned the area carefully and there it was, a huge titan headed towards you with incredible speed.

"W-What is that???" you stuttered out, the scouts noticed it too and Sys called out to you

"LET'S MOVE! WE HAVE TO GET AWAY FROM HERE FAST! (last name) FIRE THE SIGNAL BEFORE IT APPROACHES YOU!" Sys yelled, you grabbed the signal flair in your pocket and fondled with the right color that you had to put in the hole, your hands were shaking tough and you lost the bullet on your way

"I-I can't fire it! My hands are too shaky!" Sys bit his teeth and ordered both of you to go on ahead

"BOTH OF YOU GO!!! Get out of here! We will hold it off!" you were frozen in fear as you saw the huge titan approaching faster than thought, Armin sided with your horse and grabbed your arm

"COME ON! WE HAVE TO LEAVE!" you snap out of it and started to move your horse. You saw in the corner of your eyes how the other scouts were fighting with the smaller titans that remained in the area before the large one approached and smashed them to pieces, they quickly attacked the huge one but their blades were useless against the thick skin of the strange titan. Your eyes froze as their lifeless bodies fell to the ground, it stopped for a second only to set it's eyes on Armin and yourself. It began running and both of you galloped your horses even faster to get away from it.

At someone point it caught up and Armin lost control over his horse, he fell to the ground with the large titan right behind him, you stopped and wanted to turn around when he stopped you

"DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME JUST GO!!!" you were shaking from fear but could not move your horse at all, the large titan stopped and Armin quickly grabbed a stone that lied on the ground tossing it at your horse that went crazy after that. You had no control over it anymore and were forced to leave him behind, you cried out his name desperately with tears streaming down your cheeks, the last thing your eyes saw was the huge hand of the titan reaching down for him.

With blurred and fire red eyes you moved forward without any control over your horse, it won't stop and neither could you change the direction it was running. Your thoughts were only circling around Armin, he was really sacrificing himself that you could escape, he was such an idiot... the fact only let your tears fall harder. You finally got off the forest into an open field, a group of other scouts who were close by noticed you and headed towards you. They finally managed to stop your horse, a familiar voice among them called out to you that made you raise your cried out eyes

"R-Reiner?"
