Feelings

You were brought back to the room you stay in before; the soldiers tossed you to the floor and locked the door after they left. You were emotionally torn, the situation was too much for you, not only had you deal with the fact that you suffered from Amnesia for a long time but also the true face of Reiner. You curled up in your favorite posture hugging your knees and hiding your face in them while dealing with the arching pain of your chest.

Hours past by slowly and it turned night. Finally your heard the lock of the door opening and you lifted your face up, anger possessed you the second you laid eyes on the one you once trusted the most. You jumped up and rushed towards him grabbing him on his collar and pushing him to the ground

"HOW COULD YOU?? I TRUSTED YOU SO MUCH!" you yelled at him, tears started to stream down your eyes as you shake him in anger and frustration.

"I thought you really liked me! You were always there for me, saved me so many times risking your own life! Why?? Why did you lie to me? Did you think it would make things easier if you... make me like you?" your grip loosened lightly and you whipped your eyes

"Was your kindness just an act to test me if I was lying about my whereabouts? Did you ever really care about me?" the tears just won't stop faling

"Was anything at all you said to me real? The promise you made me... that we go away together and start a new life somewhere no one knows us.... Was that a lie too?" his heart was aching painfully as he saw you crying, you believed what he told the judge so easily without even questioning it. But he was glad at some point, at least his act was believable and he managed to safe you from greater punishment. His hands pushed your shoulders down and he pinned you to the floor holding your wrists tightly at each side.

"Forgive me... for making you cry and for hating me, I can understand how much your heart is aching. But I had no other choice than to make you hate me, if I would have told the story differently to the judge I wouldn't have been able to safe you. And look at you, you made it so easy for me, you believed every single word I said without doubting it at all..." Your eyes widened, Reiner released your wrists and supported himself on the floor as he leaned down to your level and placed his head next to yours so he was on the level of your ear

"What I told the judge was only what he wanted to hear, but with you I was always honest about the things I said. I never befriended you because I found out about your existence; I befriended you because I wanted too. I spend time with you, laughed with you and saved you from critical situations because my heart wanted it. It is true that I kept my eyes on you because I knew about your identity but I never let it change my view on you. Also I never told Berthold or Annie about you, about who you really are. I kept this a secret because no one needed to know about this other than me. Everything I promised you, when we escape here together, it was all real. There will never be a single thing that could change the way I feel about you." Your heart was beating hard against your chest and relive washed over you. Reiner lifted his head and made eye contact with you, his hand softly cupped your face and caressed your red cheek

"I know how much I hurt you, all I do is cause you pain. Forgive me for being such a coward who is unable to protect you properly..." you shook your head

"No, not at all, you are doing a great job at it. I always feel at ease when I know you are around me, because no matter what happens I know you will come for me" you gave him a small smile, it meant the world to him, he loved it because it expressed your happiness and that was all he wanted, you to be happy. You lifted your hand and placed it over his that was still cupping your face, it was so warm and comfortable, you nuzzled your face into it lightly closing your eyes. Reiner observed you closely, he enjoyed being so close to you and he knew how much you did too. He noticed how crazy your heart was jumping in your chest, he knew that it would be better if he moved away from you but he couldn't or better said he did not wanted to. His breathing became uneven, having you lay under him and hearing your heartbeat made him crazy. Million thoughts were circling through his mind, letting his pulse rise and his body temperature increase dramatically.

"I... should go now, before the others come looking for me" you opened your eyes lightly and connected with his eyes, you nodded with a weak smile

"Alright, I don't want to cause you any trouble" he hated himself for ruining this perfect moment and slowly removed his hand from your face, both of you got up and he turned his back to you as he walked towards the door. You looked at his back sadly but you respected his feelings too. Reiner grabbed the door knob

"Thank you for coming and telling me the truth, I am sorry that I doubted you, I was just so torn apart by my own feelings that I could not see through your act..." you apologized to him

"I am the one who should apologize, it was me after all who made you believe that I was using you" you hummed

"Good night, and thank you for everything, you saved me again..." his hand started shaking

"Probably won't be the last time, we still have our lives before us, good night (first name), sleep well" he opened the door and you watched him walking out until the lock sound echoed in your ear. You started shaking after that on your entire body unable to control yourself. Suddenly the door unlocked again and Reiner walked back in the room slamming the door behind him

"Fuck it!" he mumbled under his breath as he gently cupped your face in both of his hands and slammed his lips against yours.
