EPILOGUE

***November 15 (The Day of the Wedding)***

"You look beautiful," Courtney's father whispered to her. It was absolutely true. Taylor had helped her get ready in the dress and necklace Blake had bought for her. Her hair was curled. I was extremely jealous at that point. She was wearing almost glass slippers on her feet. I laughed at the Cinderella comparison. The music started playing the slow wedding march. Courtney linked her arm in her father's and hoped that she wouldn't trip and fall on her face. She was really nervous, though she didn't know why.

Her fears disappeared when her eyes met Blake's. She didn't care how many pairs of eyes were on her, she only cared about one pair. He smiled at her and his eyes lit up with the smile. She supposed hers did too. "I'll love you for always," she mouthed to him.

"I'll love you forever," he mouthed back. She had to look at the ground for a second to keep herself from giggling. That would really be embarrassing.

Blake was wearing a tuxedo that was all white, white because it was a happy color. He told her that he refused to wear black for a wedding, especially his, because people wore black to a funeral. Courtney had laughed at him then. He had a red rose, which were the same flowers Courtney was holding.

Eventually, Courtney and her father made it to the end of the aisle, although it felt like it took a century to get there. Her father placed her hand in Blake's. The priest began speaking, "Dearly beloved: We have come together in the presence of God to witness and bless the joining together of this man and this woman in Holy Matrimony. The bond and covenant of marriage was established by God in creation, and our Lord Jesus Christ adorned this manner of life by his presence and first miracle at a wedding in Cana of Galilee. It signifies to us the mystery of the union between Christ and his Church, and Holy Scripture commends it to be honored among all people..."

Courtney and Blake zoned out and just stared into each other's eyes. A smile was playing on her lips. She and Blake both knew that their happy ending was beginning then.

THE END!
