With the brunette's support, Baekhyun limped all the way out of the monster's estate, although he felt bad to drag him into it.

Taehyung hid the older one behind a dumpster in a dark alley before he went ahead and paid Choi Hyung Tae. The thug gave him another 48 hour extension for the pending amount. Taehyung was glad he made it out in one piece. He then took the injured one to his home since it was clear of Choi Hyung Tae's men for now. And also, none of Father's men knew that place.

The first thing Taehyung did was that he treated Baekhyun's wounds. The poor soul was wailing relentlessly.

It took 24 hours for Baekhyun to show some signs of recovery. It was a relief for Taehyung that Yong Guk didn't call for the job, but it also meant no payment. Something felt off though.

Father was anxiously searching for the little rebellion. And when no news came, he declared him an outcast, and that meant only one thing; his death.

There were no stars in the sky. Baekhyun took another sip of his beer and looked over at Taehyung. He seemed lost in his thoughts. "Don't think too much, silly. This is how life is; cruel and brutal." Taehyung sipped on his canned drink too. "My mother used to say that people are not bad by their choice. Some good people turn bad because their situation demands them to."

Baekhyun sighs, hugging his knees, "We are only a product of our situation. We don't get to choose a good or a bad life, we just go along the flow, always hoping for a brighter outcome." He looks down at the miniature cars and buildings from his tall stance from the rooftop, "This city is a monster; always feeding off of people's greed. No light can ever chase away it's darkness." He added, loathing.

Taehyung drew a deep breath and looked away.

"By the way, you were lucky you had a mother, you know." The older one added.

And then there were silence. None of them spoke for a long time.

There was a low noise somewhere in the background. Taehyung looked around, panicked. The older one sighed, "You can come out now, your legs must hurt from standing behind there for so long." A strong looking woman appeared from the shadows. Alarmed, Taehyung looked at Baekhyun and he nodded coolly, "It's okay, it's just Yuri."

Taehyung left the duo to talk and went down, all the way out of the building to get something to eat when he bumped into Yong Guk. The rich heir was clad in black from head to toe. Even in the dim street lights he managed to look like a runway model with his pushed back gelled hair. "Fancy I ran into you here." He said.

Taehyung remembered what Baekhyun had told him the moment he regained his consciousness, "We are under their radar."  So the brunette put his guard up and balled his fist. Yong Guk chuckled helplessly at the boy's cute little defense, "Don't worry, I won't touch you without your permission. Just wanted to tell you that don't let your guard down, you and that lanky fellow." He leaned in to whisper, "because you two know too much."

With a smirk on his face, the older one swiftly pivoted on his heel and walked away coolly. Taehyung only looked at him, worry written all over his face, for he knew what that meant.

When he got back to the rooftop  Baekhyun was staring far into the distance, not really looking at anything. Taehyung figured out that the girl named Yuri, who seemed quite a special someone for Baekhyun, chose Father over him after all.

The brunette walked upto him, "Hyung, I think we know too much and that's kinda..lethal, I guess." Baekhyun simply laughed at Taehyung's innocence, "Do you know how to win a fist fight?" "You've seen me get beaten like an animal." "And what happens when an animal gets mad?"

The fire in the older one's eyes caused a chill to run down the brunette's spine. He could now feel that something big was about to go down, something he wasn't prepared for...
