The helmet was itchy but Baekhyun dared not let go of the moped's handle. Good thing that his boss didn't knew that he just learned how to ride a two wheeler, otherwise he wouldn't have given the job to him.
The black haired teen notice a black van coming a little too fast in his direction from behind. When he switched lanes to let it pass, the van pulled ahead of him in a haste and immediately turned into him at the intersection. Baekhyun almost hit the pavement but somehow controlled his vehicle. The part - timer wasn't really hurt, fortunately the van was far enough ahead when the driver pulled this stunt, or he could've ended up under the van/tire. He barely made it out alive.
He pulled over to the side of the road to catch a breath. So, it has begun, he thought begrudgingly.

It was hard to see where Taehyung was running so he navigated blindly using senses he didn't know he had, telling him when to turn and when to duck to prevent the thug's attack. Finally he stopped. He couldn't run any further. His chest hurt from panting, and his legs and arms were too heavy to lift anymore. He turned into a familiar alley and sank to the ground, his back against a dumpster.
One of Choi Hyung Tae's dog followed him to the alley and Taehyung could hear his footsteps approaching him. He covered his mouth to muffle his panting. Taehyung was almost caught but fortunately the thug's phone went off. "Hello...yes..don't worry, boss, I'll find that bastard by hook or by crook." With that he hung up and rushed off.
The brunette hung his head down in shear exhaustion and rested it on his folded arms that lay across his knees. He closed his eyes and a long forgotten memory began to play in his mind.
It was Taehyung's seventh birthday. His mother made his favorite food while his father got him his favorite cake. It seemed as if nothing could go wrong that day..but then Choi Hyung Tae showed up and the brutality began.
"Never let this world get to you." His mother would say whenever his classmates teased him. "I'm not a mother of a coward, I know that."
Taehyung opened his eyes with a renewed strength and repeated the words quietly to himself, promising, "I'm not a coward. Not a coward. Not a coward!"
Baekhyun was now aware of the eyes on him, thanks to the earlier events. He was being tailed by Father's men. "These jerks wouldn't let me breathe." He thought as read a magazine, chewing on his gum, behind the counter.
A tall, lean man clad in black from head to toe entered the convenient store, his snapback covering his eyes. Baekhyun put away the magazine nonchalantly. The suspicious looking man walked around the store with nothing specific in mind and Baekhyun took his cue.
The black haired teen took out the trash, gritting his teeth, and the man followed him out in the alley.
Taehyung looked up at the merciless sky. The thunders grew until it began pouring. He stood up from behind the dumpster but crouched down immediately as he saw two figures in the dark. Another thunder revealed a familiar face.
Taehyung didn't know who threw the first punch, but suddenly Baekhyun's fist was slamming into the other's face while he sunk into his stomach and blood immediately pooled in his mouth. They stumbled apart for a brief second to catch their breaths before diving back at each other, eyes narrowed in determination.
The man dodged Baekhyun's fist and came up with his own; for a brief instant, his cerulean blue eyes widened before the teen managed to tilt his head back and slam it into the man's head. It seemed as if stars bursted in his vision but he shook it off, blindingly throwing a sloppy kick.
Baekhyun stepped back, easily evading the kick. "Is that all you got?" He crowed, smirking infuriatingly at the exhausted man. The attacker growled and threw himself at the teen, changing direction at the last minute. The man threw his body weight behind the fist that edged closer to the teen's face, it hit his jaw with such force blood pooled into his mouth. Pain erupted from the point of impact. Baekhyun hated the taste of blood. His blood hummed in his veins as determination and anger took over.
With his own two hands, Baekhyun grasped his attacker's head and brought his knee cap up to his nose, there was a blunt crack and he released his light haired head. Crimson leaked from both his nostrils and his nose was twisted right.
The man drew his fist back again and it ploughed into Baekhyun's stomach, it was like hitting a train head on. His guts smashed together, blood vessels bursting. The teen repaid this by punching his jaw, his fist collided with all his body weight. He continued this battering until the man fell to the floor. His chest gently rose and sank with each shallow breath he drew in.
The enraged teen then lifted his battered bloody body over his shoulder like a rag doll and tossed it into one of the dumpster. He grunt and ripped his shirt off which was covered with blood. The pelting rain washed away most of the blood on his arms revealing thin wounds that his attacker successfully served on him.
"You can come out now." He said to the lone spectator as he left.
Taehyung followed Baekhyun all the way to convenient store. The dark haired teen then put on his sweatshirt hanging behind the store room door. "What are you staring at?" He asked, wiping off the blood from his knuckles. There were bruises all across his face.
What the brunette said next surprised him.
