I was a young girl, everything seemed so right and good in the world. I had a good family, except... dad was never around. I saw him come home on my birthday and my big sister Corey's birthday as well. He was always dressed up in a black suit for some reason and carrying a firearm in his coat. I thought he was a policeman. But, turns out he was much more then that.

One day, I tried asking him about his job. He got really pissed off about it and smacked me. I didn't think I did anything wrong. I just asked a question, that was the last burning image I had of my father for a long, long time.

Graduation from Hope Peak Academy, I was finally 18, my father, if you want to call him that, was at my graduation. I looked up at the crowd and saw him and mom sitting together. Looking down at me seeming to be proud of what their daughter accomplished being in the top 5 of her class. Only one missing was my sister. After the ceremony, I asked mom and dad where she was.

"She's off on business." Dad answered.

Business? Since when did Corey get a job, whatever. I shrugged it off and so we went home and partied. I wasn't going to let my sister having a job and missing out on my graduation stop me from having a good time.

I couldn't sleep that night and so I decided to grab a bite of the cake mom whipped up for graduation out of the fridge. I walked by my dad's door to only hear him on the phone with someone.

"How's the Foundation holding up ever since I left?"

"Its moving smoothly. We plan to have the next branch up next week and new Class D Personnel in within the month for testing."

I could hear my dads footsteps getting closer to the door but I was frozen there. His door flung open and his face was no longer there, only to be replaced by nothingness. He kicked me in the stomach and my body flew across the hall.

"You heard too much Emily, sorry to say you can't be here anymore."  He said.

He approached me with a pocket knife in his hand, I started screaming at the top of my lungs.

Too bad it was only a dream
