Chapter 16: "Thank you, for everything."

Danny's POV:
I smiled at Y/n. "I should be saying that to you. " I said, sitting myself down on the couch. I opened my mouth to say more, but Y/n put her finger to my mouth, shushing me.
"No, Danny, I mean it. I honestly have no idea where I'd be," she looked down at the baby. "Were we'd be right now, without you. You're the one who offered to let me stay here when everyone else had their own affairs. I couldn't stay at Mark and Bf/n's, Matt and Amanda always have a lot on their plate, I plan on getting my own place soon enough, but I have to let things settle down between just having a baby, and Jack just being around again, and just overall everything that's going on, I don't have the money to find a place right now, I need to get a job once things start to slow down." It was my turn to shush Y/n.
"Hey, how many times do I have to tell you? Don't worry about it. Don't worry about finding a job, we'll take care of that. I have an idea about what we can do about that, and I definitely think you'll be over the moon about it. I won't tell you now, we were planning on meeting here a little later, kind of a welcome home get together thing, if it's okay with you of course..."
"Yeah, that's totally fine." Y/n said, laying Sam down in the bassinet for a nap. She got back on the couch, and she laid her head on my chest. My heart fluttered, and I put my arm around her, pulling the blanket off the top of the couch, wrapping it around her. She yawned, and snuggled underneath the blanket, rubbing her head on my chest. "Wanna watch a movie? I mean, I know I won't be able to finish it, but we can at least start it now, right?"
"Of course, you already have one set up, or you wanna choose one off Netflix?"
"I already have one set up."

"Alrighty." I grabbed the DVD remote off the table next to me, and turned on the TV and DVD player. After all the previews were over, the opening music of the movie started to play. I recognized that music anywhere. Drop Dead Fred. It's such a weird little movie, but it's definitely a classic. We didn't even get to meet Fred before Y/n fell asleep. I smiled down at her and kissed the top of her head. It wasn't long before the warmth from Y/n resting on me, and just being tired caused me to fall asleep too.

A Few Hours Later

"Hey guys! We're-" Arin walked into the office to see Y/n and Danny sleeping.
"Arin?" Barry called from the other room.
"Guys," Arin whispered to him as he was walking towards the doorway. "You gotta see this," Everyone followed him into the office and saw the two on the couch.
"Aww, they're so cute!" Barry whipped out his phone and took a picture. He posted it on instagram with the caption "When you actually walk in on #napgrumps...".
"Should we wake them?" Suzy asked.
"Probably," Arin said. "Don't want them to be sleepy when we tell Y/n the news." Ross moved next to Danny and smoothed his hair back.
"Ok, lovebirds, time to wake up... Dan, c'mon, buddy..." Ross nudged him. Danny stirred, starting to wake up. "Hmm?" I looked up and saw Ross in my face. "Goddammit, Ross..." Y/n was still asleep in my lap. "Hey," I said nudging her. "Hey, Princess, we fell asleep, they found us, time to get up sweetheart..." Y/n groaned and sat up, my arm was still around her, so she still clung to me. That is, until the baby started crying.
"What time is it?" Her voice still sounded groggily.
"About 4-ish." Arin said, looking at his watch.
"Wow, we were asleep for 3 hours, I gotta take care of the baby." Y/n got up, and I immediately felt cold. She picked up Sam, and took him into the other room so she could change him, leaving me alone to explain what was going on.
"You know she's still married, right?"
"Well, no shit, Arin. We just fell asleep, watching a movie, that's all. There is nothing wrong with two friends falling asleep after a long day." I said it with more attitude than I intended.

"Everything okay out here?"

"Yeah, Y/n, everything's fine." I said with a smile.

"Good, because this little one's ready to be with his family!" Everyone gathered around the table, Y/n laid Sam in a small bassinet near her chair. As everyone got their plates, they made their rounds to see the baby. For a while, we talked and laughed, until Arin stood up.

"I, uh, have an announcement I'd like to make. Y/n, you've been talking about how you don't have a job, and we've come up with a solution for that. How would you like to become an honorary Grump? You can take on whichever position you like, or you can mix it up and do different things, like edit some days, be in videos others, whatever you wanna do. You'll be paid the same as all of us regardless, so whataya think? You think you can handle it?" Y/n ran up to him and gave him a huge hug.

"Of course I can handle it! Thank you guys so much! I love you all, you know that? When do I start?"

"Whenever you feel ready, I guess."

"Alrighty. Thanks guys, really, wow, you have no idea how happy I am right now!" The rest of the night, she couldn't stop smiling. I could tell that relieved a lot of pressure off her chest. Not only does she now have a job, but its with her friends, and it's at the place she's staying at. It's also a bonus that even after she leaves the space, she doesn't have to leave us. Y/n is such a blessing, she's gonna be good for us, I can feel it. Having another woman and a baby around is going to add a stronger sense of family, rather than a bunch of guys sitting around making dick jokes 24/7. And Y/n needs the family, especially with the situation with Jack and all. I couldn't imagine, being on your honeymoon, thinking you lost your new husband, knowing that your pregnant, thinking about raising the child alone... But she isn't alone, and that comes with its own set of problems. Jack is alive, and with Mark and Bf/n, but he has no recollection of anything, about himself, about Mark, Y/n, YouTube, nothing. Y/n says that she doesn't want Jack to know about her real self, or the baby until he can remember himself, and what really happened. She's going to have to meet him eventually, but she has to keep the baby hidden. I looked over at Y/n. She was laughing at something Barry said. I loved seeing her laugh, knowing all she's going through, and she can still manage to smile. She's such a strong woman, and I admire that a lot.

"Dan?... Dan!" Suzy seemed to be calling me. I noticed that the table had emptied, and I was alone.

"What?"

"Wanna help me with the dishes?"

"Sure, Suz." I picked up plates off the table and handed them to Suzy.

"You alright? You seem a little distracted, and you didn't get up with everybody else, I'm a little bit worried."

"Oh, yeah, everything's fine, Suz. I was just overthinking something, that's all."

"Do you wanna talk about it? You can tell me anything, you know that, right? If it makes you feel any better, I won't tell Arin about any of this. If it's that bad, we can keep it between the two of us."

"I think I'm in love with Y/n..."
