Your POV:
The time has come for me to introduce my parents to the rest of the whole clan. They already know a few of the Grumps, as they were at Sam's birth. Tonight, I eat with the Grumps again, Bf/n, Mark and Sean, and my parents and brother. It's quite the crowd, but we've got the room and the food. Rachel, Brian's wife invited Sam over to have a playdate with Audrey, thank goodness, I don't know what I'll do without her."Hey, Princess." I smiled as I turned around and matched the face to that familiar voice.
"Whatcha doin?" He asked me as he reached for my hand.
"Just thinking."
"About what?"
"About how this dinner's gonna go. My family is going to meet Jack for the first time again, as 'Sean', and my poor brother won't be able to talk to him like he used to. But, I think he'd be happy to get to know you though."
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah." We gazed into each other's eyes and leaned in for a kiss when my mother just so happened to walk in on us.
"I-I'm sorry, I'll just come back later," she said softly under her breath as she briskly walked out of the room. I couldn't help but laugh. She knows about the whole situation, I can't say she's too keen on it, but she's not boiling mad about it either.
"Sorry about that. Now, where were we?" We closed our eyes, and our lips intertwined together.
"We should go out there and be social..."
"We should, shouldn't we?"
"I'm really nervous, Dan."
"Everything will be fine, Princess. Everything will be just fine." We walked out into the kitchen where everybody was gathered.
"There they are! Is everybody here now?" Barry asked, looking around. I scanned the room,it looked like everyone was here. "Attention, everybody!" Barry said, banging a spoon against a glass. "I have an announcement I'd like to make!" Everybody sat down and turned their attention over to Barry. "Okay, um, hello! To those of you who don't know me, I'm Barry Kramer, I've been an editor for the Game Grumps basically since it started. But now, after many years of fun and magic, I have decided to move on to even bigger things. It was really hard to decide this, but I've gotten a job offer in New York, and I'm going to take it. I won't leave for another week, but I figured now would be a good time to give everyone a head's up. I love you all, very very much, and I hope to keep in touch with all of you. But thank you, all of you, for everything."
Barry sat down, and Dan and Arin just kind of looked at each other in disbelief.
"I'm happy for you, Bar." Arin said, forcing a grin on his face.
"I am too, I'm proud of you, buddy." The three friends ended up in an emotional group hug. On the other side of the table, Bf/n grabbed Mark's hand, and pulled him up.
"As long as we're sharing things,"
"We don't mean to steal your thunder, either, Barry. But Bf/n and I do also have something we'd like to announce." The couple looked at each other with loving eyes, and together they said "We're adopting a baby!" The room erupted with 'awws' and 'congratulations!' I looked over at Sean, who had a smile on his face, but I knew when his eyes looked sad. I'm going to have to talk to him later, or maybe ask Mark too. He doesn't know me well enough to open up to me the way he would to Mark.
Mark's POV:
After dinner and the cleanup were done, everybody just spread out and hung out for a bit. Sean was in one of the common rooms, talking with Y/n, Bf/n, Dan, Arin, Barry and Y/n's brother, Luke."Hey, Sean? Can I steal you for just a minute? I promise to bring you right back."
"Sure thing Mark." Sean followed me into the next room, where we sat down.
"What's going on?"
"You alright pal?"
"Yeah, why?"
"You seemed a little off when we told you the news."
"What? No, no! I am so happy for you guys! I think it will be wonderful having a little baby around the house, that is, if you want me to stay there..." Ooohhh. I grabbed Sean's face, and forced him to look me in the eyes.
"Hey, you, listen to me. I want you to get rid of those thoughts, right now. You hear me? We love you, so much, Sean. We would never kick you out because of our baby. We can only make room in that house, okay? We will never not have enough room for you, understand?"
"Yes."
"Good." I patted his back, and we went back to the rest of the group. He went back into the conversations with a smile on his face, and that gleam in his eyes was back, so I think my talked helped a little.
"I can't believe you guys are going to adopt! Y/n said, smiling.
"I can't either, we just decided we wanted to, so we're not on any lists yet, but it's a definite thing we want to do, we're not going to ever give up on the idea. We don't know how long it'll take before we have our child, but it will be worth the wait." I slipped my arm around my wife, and kissed her.
"And even if we have to wait five billion years, I will always be happy just loving you, Mrs. Plier." I watched as color filled her face and tears sprang to her eyes. She then buried her face into my chest, hiding herself.
"You two are too adorable, honestly." Danny said, smiling at us.
"You guys are cute, too." Sean said, indicating towards Y/n and Dan, who had his arm around her.
"Oh, um-," Y/n said flustered.
"Thank you!" Dan said, squeezing Y/n's arm. I saw that Y/n snook him a look, but she quickly covered it up with a smile.
"How long have you guys been together?" Bf/n asked, playing along.
"Not that long really, we just started dating... recently." Y/n said, looking at Bf/n nervously. "What about you, Sean? Anyone special in your life?"
"I wish. I haven't been really with someone since Mary. It's hard to trust someone when you don't even know yourself." That last part gave me flashbacks of the first time we kissed, and it gave me goosebumps.
"I also don't get out too much, I mostly just stay around the house and try to figure out what exactly I like to do, and other things about myself. Currently I'm toying around with music, I especially like the idea of playing the drums, but I can't afford a kit." Everyone in the room looked around amazed. Is this a sign his memories coming back? Is this eternal torture ending?
"You like to sing, right Mark?" Sean's question snapped me out of it.
"I do, but that doesn't mean I'm any good at it."
"Nonsense, I'm sure you have a wonderful voice, Mark. I think it'd be fun to play music with any of you one day."
"Yeah, that sounds nice, Sean."
