(The Night Before)

Your POV:

Arin, Suzy, Dan and I stayed at the space after everyone else left. We were all hanging out tonight, just casually chillin with each other. I made dinner, we watched some Harry Potter, and sat around the common room talking all night.

"We should go to Disney sometime," Arin said.

"Soon," Suzy said. "We haven't been there in a while."

"We haven't gone with Y/n at all yet," Arin pointed out.

"I think I'll leave Sam with his grandparents when we go, though, I want Sam's first time at Disney to be when he's a little bit older, so he can remember."
"Oh totally," Dan said. Maybe his father can be with him when he goes for the first time. I pushed thoughts of Sean away, because even though it's been over a year, and Dan and I are still figuring out what our relationship is, thoughts of him still bring tears to my eyes.

"We should play some Spyro on Game Grumps, I think that'd be cool."

"I've never played any of the newer ones, from that new- fuckin, "Legend of Spyro" bullshit."

"Really?"

"Get outta here,"

"You haven't either, Dan!"

"Well, I watched you play that one that you played a while back,"
"Eternal Night?"
"Yeah! That one."

"I am the 'Eternal Night' master!"
"I remember playing Spyro all the time when it first came out," Suzy added. "I played the first three, but then I also got into more things once I didn't live with my parents anymore. I think it'd be nice to play some together sometime, too."
"Like, play all the games beginning to end?"
"Exactly."

"I think that'd be fun,"

"Yeah."

"We could pop in the first one right now," I said.

"Yeah, let's do it!" Dan said.

"God, it's been so long!" Suzy said, as Arin went to hook up the Playstation. Once we plugged in the Playstation, and found a memory card that wasn't full, we put in 'Spyro The Dragon' The first game in the series. We all took turns looking for the dragons and completing the goals until almost three in the morning, when we were all getting tired, and Arin and Suzy decided to go home.

"This was very fun, Y/n," Arin said.

"Yeah, we should do this again soon, like some other night this week, or next week, whenever you're available."

"I'm always here!" I said as I watched them leave. "So, what now?" I asked Dan, who was the only one still here.

"We could just sit and talk." He said, brushing his hand against my back, leading me to the couch.

"Yeah. Talking sounds nice." We sat down next to each other, feeling a little awkward.

"How are you feeling, Y/n?"

"I'm feeling alright. You?"
"Oh, I'm feeling super. I've been thinking about us, and how it's been over a year now."

"I have too."

"And?"

"I am ready, Dan. I am so ready. But, there will probably be days that I may not feel so ready, you know how hard it can be to let go of someone you can't have,"
"Oh totally,"

"But I've been working on it, and I'm at the point now to accept that his chances of remembering are slim to none. While it's going to be tough, I'm ready to say 'I'm moving on'."
