Chapter 17: can i trust you!?

December 18th 2034:
Wow today's my birthday I'm 17 years old I can't loose track of the date I looked around I felt something moving on my forehead forgetting my birthday for a moment. I touch my forehead hesitantly it was a eye but one thing Dr.sands didn't notice the eye so the eye.....I was cut off by the voice I named Lalia

Lalia: Yes only you can see the eye that is on your forehead you are the only child who has this ability the only child who has two ability

I smiled how her voice is so calm in my head I almost forgot it is lunch time I walked out of cell looking both ways I couldn't leave for months cause the men think I was so dangerous I could kill them I didn't use my ability to much I kept it under control the food here is so disgusting I could see every face that use to smile the school used to be a laboratory Laila spoke again in a soothing voice

Lalia: this place they call the school use to test in animals fuse them together and all sorts of damage on animal since the war broke out they used it on children

Many children had no emotion on their faces the looked dead one of them looked up at me and back at there food I guess they herd of me every step I took at least of them flinched which is really weird I wouldn't even hurt one them I walked up to the line took a tray with food that didn't look right and sat at empty table well I made it empty it is so quite looking around lunch is almost over I left early walking at steady pace back to my cell a cold dim lighted cell room I needed a plan to get out of here the door closed daylight fall The door at the end of the hallway opened a familiar foot step came closer it is Nani I opened the cell door he walked in with a smile I gave the same gesture I needed his help but I don't know if I can trust him

El: Nani

He answered quietly

Nani: yes

El: Can I trust you!?
I mean can I trust you with everything my life depends on it

He looked me dead in the eye I could see his old self with a blue polo shirt and and black pants with the same hair cut he shook me a little making me snap back into reality he answered with a nod and smiled

El: Ok I need you help....getting out of here

Nani: before I ask why happy birthday

I smiled and nodded

Nani: but why do you need my help

El: Well there's always a special day when the men in white gowns go down to the room so all of security guard leaving everything unintended which mean that's a new year when they tell us how old we are but in thing though all of us the kids are locked up in the cells"l

Nani: So you mean to tell me you don't want to stay here anymore?

El:Nani I want you to come with me I know you hate this place

Nani: I can't leave this place if you leave that's the last time I ever see you

El: why can't you leave this place?

Nani: they will find me cause I have a chip on my wrist the kids here don't have them cause there bodies will fry them out all the scientist here are normal which is when you leave they won't notice they don't really care what happen to you guys I can't risk it to get your freedom caught and killed in sorry

Tears started to stream down his face I ran to him and hugged him tight

Nani: I will help you escape ok?

El: Okay

He stopped and looked at me puzzled

Nani: Hey

El: Yeah

Nani: Did you always had that necklace around you neck and that tattoo around your arm

El: Yeah

I guess the new ability granted me these I smiled to myself Lalia spoke without a term

Lalia: These will stay with you forever so don't worry

Me and Nani started planning out with the map I had stashed in my jumpsuit Nani was very serious about this after the plan is done he didn't say a word only tears strolling down his face said it all before I know it I was crying too he gave me a big hug I stiffened up a bit and relaxed and hugged him back it was a comfortable silence

Nani: Please be safe out there

El: I will Nani and don't forget about me never

I felt him form a smile at the nape of my neck and he nodded he let go and gave me kiss on the cheek and said his final goodbye I will never ever forget you Nani I was devastated he couldn't come I heard the door close that was the last time I ever saw my best friend Nani.

Nani pov
I never knew I would cry for someone over these past years she is the only person I was so close too cause she understood me now she's leaving I'm more worried about her about surviving *out there*
I didn't notice I was crying luckily no one is there is it possible that I like her like that it can't be she's a friend maybe I did but it can't be possible I'm five years older than her but hopefully the plan works
