Yesterday went well. The Sam I know is breaking free from who she was known for. Her defense on Kendra definitely would have given any other of her bullies packing. It definitely also made her more respected by others.
Unfortunately, that sucker punch Kendra received would only ignite her more. Knocking out her cronies was one thing, Kendra on the other hand, is an entirely different issue. She’s evil. And she’s persistent. We’ve only been able to hear some of the stories that circled around about how she made Patricia transfer. And it only keeps increasing every time anyone opens up the issue. I’m sure Sam wouldn’t mind the gossips Kendra would be able to conjure. What I’m worried about is how she would have her tool of boyfriend pull on worse pranks, not only for Sam but for everyone around her.
For the first time in my life, I had to walk the corridors with eyes behind my back. My friends had to walk with eyes behind their back. People around us had either avoided getting near us. Everyone stared at us while we walk. Some had also been talking around what type of prank we’ll get on to like it’s just some drama episode that’s on tonight.
It was annoying as hell to hear. It only meant how little people actually cared for anyone, and how more people enjoy the torment of others. More importantly, it shows how many of them just can’t keep their noses off other people’s business. Doesn’t anybody have anything to talk about other than us?
“Hey Dean, what are you planning to do with Kendra?” Jason asked suddenly.
Decapitating her was the first one that came into mind. It is easy, but it’s not exactly legal. Plus it’s just too much of a trouble to dispose her body after. No fungus, bacteria, virus or chemical in the world could destroy evil easily.
“Nothing.” I only answered.
“Kendra doesn’t share the same sentiments that you have though.” Camille said.
“Neither does Gary.” Heather added.
“She would get back on Sam, and us for what happened.” Travis tossed in.
“And I’m sure as hell they’ll be all out on it.” Heather said.
You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that. And frankly, their emphasis of our dilemma is edging me closer to reconsider roughing up Kendra.
“I’m sorry I dragged you all into this.” Sam said, apologetically.
Everyone turned their head towards her, with a look of both surprise and pity. It was the issue that everyone was not talking about, but it was also that everyone knew was not entirely her fault. This mess was about her. No one is blaming her for it, but we also can’t deny that if she hadn’t done it, we wouldn’t be in this situation. I should have assured her for it, but the only thing I did was hold her hand tightly, and kiss the back of it.
“We don’t blame you Sam.” Camille said to her.
“It was about time she got what was coming for her. Besides, we know how rough it had been for you. It was only right that you fight back.” Heather agreed. She put her arm around Sam, her sign of giving anyone assurance.
“It was good entertainment too, seeing her sprawled on the floor like that. She looked like the shit she really is.” Camille said with a smile.
“And believe it or not Sam, it wasn’t the first time we faced off with Gary and Kendra.” Jason told her.
It was a little true. We had stepped on their reputation before when Camille outshone Kendra on one fashion show. There was some gossip over how Kendra snapped after the show but nothing serious happened.
