"I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need and I don't care about the Presents underneath the christmas tree," Katie sang with all the night she held within her little heart, hand grasping the air as if she was a true Broadway star. Harry stood a few rows in front of her, bam smack right in the middle amongst all the parents, a camera in hand whilst doing all sorts of gestures just to get good angles of his baby. Maddie was sat next to his standing body with a hand covering her face in a way to state that she held no relation to the dramatic man next to her but only to shield her away in such an angle that she was still able to have a view of Katie on the stage.

It also meant that Harry's debacle caught the sight of, not only the parents, but Finn too. He grimaced and fanned his hand against his neck to Maddie as if to tell her to make Harry cut it out. The embarrassed woman simply frowned and knew that nothing could stop her husband, the title being fresh to her and no one else. It could be simply because no one apart from immediate family knew yet.

"Harry, sweetheart, could you tone it down?" Maddie whispered with a pull of Harry's collar in order for him to be at her height. A yelp came from the latter and he nodded a bit too energetically. It was his daughter's first proper concert after all. Albeit, it was a Christmas concert and there were other participants but it still had his little girl in it!

It was obvious he couldn't contain his excitement even when sat down because he turned to the middle aged man, who was clearly too done with his act, and boasted, "that's my daughter."

The man was clearly tired of all the children and simply replied, "lad, I think I know with how you've been taking so many pictures. She's bright." It was evident that the last statement was said to shut Harry up and it sure did. For a few minutes. Only when Katie finished her song and people were allowed to applaud. Harry stood up again. He clapped like a seal. So did Maddie. Both couldn't contain themselves anymore. That was their little star. They had to make it shine brighter because there was too much potential that could go to waste if that star isn't ignited.

"I love our baby." Harry edged in to speak into Maddie's ear, the latter jumping in shock. The two ended up being a centimetre away from each other's faces. Harry looked at her lips then back to her eyes. Parents scoffed behind them. "This is a children's concert."

The two coughed to break the silence and separated, though Harry did go to hold maddie's hand once the clapping had stopped. It was his way of reassuring her that love was love, it can't be stopped no matter what the limits were. Love would always find a way and that was his.

Another 4 children went by for the concert to officially come to an end and so the chaos began. Parents bustled around each other in order to locate their children who had been let loose to the large school hall. Whoever thought of it to be a good idea was an idiot because Harry and maddie looked like headless chickens. How did everyone else have a child attached to them but the two couldn't even find theirs. A tug was felt on Harry's coat. Katie. She had her pearly teeth on show, curls bouncing on her shoulders due to the shift from her toes to the heels of her feet on the floor.

Harry went to hold Katie like he did when she was only so little but the latter took a step back and frowned for a split second. "Dad, I'm big now." The older man burst into tears right there and then. Maddie patted his back and attempted to shush him. It was to no avail that she had to tuck him into her shoulder like a mother calming her child. Katie stood patiently until she knew she had to take action.

"Can I have a piggy back ride, at least?" Harry peeked out from maddie's shoulder with one eye visible. He then rushed to get on the ground and presented his back to his baby. Katie got on and the little family made their way home by foot because cars for short journeys were unnecessary.
