My Best Friend *a Sam Golbach fanfic* (COMPLETED)

Eight

Natalie's POV
(3 weeks later)

Sam and I were back in California and at the house. I've been pretty bummed out lately since my dads passing and funeral. Right now, Sam and I were downstairs in the living room and Sam was playing video games with Aaron. I was just leaning on him and going through Instagram. I posted a picture of us with the caption:

Nataliesantiago He has been my rock through my rough month. Thank you for everything, baby. You are just amazing @samgolbach ❤️

I tagged him and posted it and I locked my phone and watched them play their game.

"Are you okay, baby girl?" Sam asked pausing the game.

"Yeah, I am." I said and kissed his cheek.

"We'll talk later okay?" He said. I nodded and laid down more and laid my head on his lap and closed my eyes. I slowly fell asleep.

Sam's POV
She had fallen asleep, she has been so quiet and depressed lately and I understand why. I wish I could help her out. I love her to death. Did I just say that? Did I just say I love her? I never said I love her to her yet. I never said it to anyone but my best friends and my family. I picked her up carefully and walked to our room and I laid her on the bed. As I went to walk out I heard her mumble something.

"Sam, please don't leave me." She said. She seemed to be asleep still. "I can't lose you, too." She said. I walked over and sat beside her carefully. She opened her eyes.

"Baby, you were talking in your sleep." I said.

"Please promise you won't leave me." She said.

"I promise, baby." I said. She pulled me into a hug and I hugged back. We pulled away. "Go back to taking a nap. I'm going to go get a drink." I said.

"Okay." She said before closing her eyes and I heard snoring. I walked downstairs and got a drink and saw Aaron and Elton talking.

"He will kill me." I heard Aaron said and I walked over.

"Who will kill you?" I asked getting a water bottle from the fridge. They exchanged a look.

"I'm going upstairs, Amanda is waiting for me with Circa." Elton said and walked upstairs. I looked at Aaron and took a sip from my water.

"So, who will kill you? And for what?" I asked.

"Aaron, what the hell is this?" I heard Natalie ask as she walked over holding her phone in hand. I grabbed it and read the text.

Aaron:
Nat, I know you're with Sam and everything but I have to come clean. Ever since I met you, I have fallen for you more and more. Sam will kill me if he finds out I sent this.

I looked at him.

"Are you serious? You hit on my girlfriend?!" I yelled.

"Look, it's not what it looks like." He said.

"No, Aaron. You freaking send a text like this to her and expect me to think it's nothing big?" I asked. "Screw you." I said.

"Sam, I'm sorry!" He yelled.

"I don't care!" I yelled and ran after him. He fell and as I was about to hit him Corey and Elton stopped me. Natalie was on the couch with her legs pulled up.

"Dude, it's a prank!" He said. Colby was holding a camera.

"You guys are messed up." I said and went to Natalie and sat beside her. "Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah." She said. I nodded knowing she hated when I fought.

"It's okay." I kissed her head and looked at them. "If you guys do that ever again, I will kill one of you guys." I said. Natalie and I walked up to our room and she laid on the bed and I laid beside her. My phone dinged and I saw it was a text from Aaron.

Aaron Doh:
Hey, man. I'm sorry. It was Corey's video and he wanted it to happen. I really am sorry.

Sam:
It's whatever.

I locked my phone and pulled Natalie close and saw she fell asleep again. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
